LOVING ME FOR ME •//• The Features I Cherish.

in #hive-110602 months ago

No matter how bad you think you are, there are always aspects of yourself that you can love. No one has perfectly good features, but that doesn’t mean we should wallow in self-hate, failing to appreciate the ‘good’ around us.

It is an incredible thing to find love in oneself—those aspects that don’t require the approval of others, but are simply things you personally cherish. Yeah, I can confidently say I have both features I love and those I struggle with, but I try to keep the things I love about myself at the forefront, and they keep me going.

I love many things about myself, and I’d like to share a few to keep it simple.

One thing I’ve come to realise these days is how Calm and Optimistic I am. I am not a big worrier like most of my friends. Regardless of the situation, I am not constantly filled with anxiety. I am a very optimistic person, I easily replace my fear with positivity.

Even if things don’t turn out great. I simply say “it is what it is”, and I learn from the experience if I need to. My friends often say, “Let me tap from your composure”, ha. Because most of the time, I am usually the one keeping the situation calm and optimistic.

This doesn’t mean I don’t have emotions or that I am naive. I express my emotions in various situations, but I strive to keep them from becoming extreme. I am not oblivious; I don’t take all situations lightly. I try to take quick precautions and think things through, but I just don’t see the need to be anxious.

I also value Self-esteem and reputation highly. Many might consider this pride but I believe that I should not engage in anything I think could tarnish my self-reputation. I set my standards and strive not to do anything that would stain my reputation.

Yes, I take pride in that because it has helped me countless times. I just don’t act impulsively; I always think about the consequences of my actions on my reputation. This doesn’t mean I am overly stern; I am such a friendly and open person. I just set clear boundaries for myself.

This also leads to my Honesty and Straightforward. One thing I take pride in is that I am not a deceitful person. I try to be as honest and straightforward as possible. Let people know I am and who I am not.

In addition to these qualities, I also appreciate that I am smart, generous, kind, and friendly.

Regarding my physical appearance, I love my face—my eyebrows, eyelashes, and nose are features I cherish deeply. I also love my body shape.

Interestingly, I’ve even come to accept and love the aspects of myself that I once disliked.

In a nutshell, we should always take the time to appreciate the features we love about ourselves and avoid dwelling on negativity. By focusing on the positive attributes we possess, we can foster a healthier self-image and build a stronger sense of self-worth.

So, take a moment each day to remind yourself of the things you love about yourself. :)

I think I am in that phase of learning how to love myself, focusing on my self and development.

Your post was promoted on the Hive Learners Monday's Heart to Heart hangout and have received curation from lazy-panda. I hope to see you join us next week on Monday in the hangout 5PM GMT+1.

It is always a process..
but it is a good thing to find something you love about yourself.

Thanks. Hopefully.. I'll be there.

Looking bright with that smile, Lizzy! And yes, I love how generally pleasant you are with your calm personality, even with the way you talk. No let them rob you of your shine.

Thank you jay jay.

Haha. They won't 🤭

This is what I love about these kinds of people. Being optimistic is my nature, but changing those times to something positive is what I still find difficult to understand in my life.

I love you ❤️😂

Thanks sis 🌹

Facts 💯

Fine girl.🥹

I really wish I could have that composure and learn how to start worrying less. I love that for you.

Thank you 🌹

Worrying doesn't bring anything. Looking and reasoning for a way forward does 😍
