MY HIVE BLOCKCHAIN INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone, my name is Blessing Osasume Obodiahi but my friends call me Sharon which is my baptismal name, my boyfriend calls me shasha, hence, the reason for my username @shahsha90. I am 33 years old and I will be turning 34 on the 10th of October 2024.
I was born and had my child hood in Esan southeast in Ewalto in Edo state, a southern part of Nigeria. I am light skinned, the fifth and last child of a family of seven, my mum and dad inclusive. My family was made up of 3 males and 3 females until I lost my oldest sister in a terrible car accident in 2004, leaving us with just 3 males and 2 females. I am in a relationship with @calebbeth.
I had my primary education in Edo state, then after that I moved to Lagos state where I began and finished my secondary education. Immediately after my secondary education, you can rightly guess the next thing on my plate, admission to a higher institution became a thug of war because I wanted to school at the prestigious University of Benin (UNIBEN) but several attempts failed not because JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board) was jamming me…. lol but because I was not being given my desired course of study which was Mass Communication, as I so much admired the flair and thought of being a media personality.
During my days of back and forth with the whole admission process was when I met one of my best friends, Damilola Ogunlola or Dami as I always call her. She is the shortest, dark skinned and most amazing human I have ever met. Dami was the one who talked me into trying my admission process with Ekiti State University and at my first trial I was admitted though I wasn’t given my choice of study, you can say maybe I wasn’t made to sit before the camera…. lol.
I was admitted to study business education (marketing option) and I graduated a bachelor of science education with a second class (lower division) in the year 2018.
My service (NYSC) year began immediately in 2018 and I was posted to Benue state but I was later redeployed to Lagos due to the declining state of my mum’s health. My service year experience was fun and easy as I was already used to Lagos state and its fast-paced system of living. Here in Lagos, everyone is in a hurry to go somewhere, no patience and you have to be smart and most times apply your “2-minute madness” to go through some hurdles. I must say, almost everyone in Lagos has a hidden madness irrespective of your social class. My service year ended a year after it began, in 2019.
Due to several unpleasant work experiences before I got admitted into the higher institution plus my mum’s health which demanded a lot of time and attention and the struggle that is so real in the Nigerian labor market, I resorted to self-employment. I started to explore areas of my passion and interest; I have always had a passion for baking, culinary and other catering activities which was spiked by watching my brother’s wife bake all the time.
My journey as a sugar artist started in 2020 during covid when I enrolled with Field of Skills and Dreams Acquisition Center for a diploma in hotel and catering management, I was later certified with a distinction in bakery and confectioneries by the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
I began practicing and running my own business but later on I decided to improve on my skillset. So, I enrolled with Heritage Youth Empowerment Center and Kakeit Confectionery and was certified in catering and advanced wedding cake respectively. I am currently running my own business, Bees&Batter and I am working to expand very soon.
When I am not working, I like to play games on my device, see movies, go to the beach and study my bible.
I was introduced to Hive by @treasuree and I am hoping to connect with most of the amazing people here.
I hope it was an adventurous read for you and I will be sharing more of my experiences soon on my other posts.
