Hi everyone I'm so excited to finally be a part of Hive, a place where I can see myself through the words written by others and cherish the beauty of writing and of course I can't wait to make my first post and see if someone relates. I am really thankful to my friend @kilvnrex for not just introducing me to this amazing society, but also helping me become a part of it. I know it's going to be a beautiful experience.
My name is Kientei Sibyl Zion, I am from Bayelsa state Nigeria. I am a Photographer, video editor,a teacher, a writer and most of all a weirdo.
Writing is an outlet for me, it's the only place I get to be real with myself and my emotions. I'm a person who doesn't always agree with the norms of our society in Nigeria,I especially hate being classified under religion which is a common occurrence in our society and in the world at large. I prefer to be seen as a human and I don't mind being classified under my gender. Although I come from a very good Christian home ( my parents are strong christians) I prefer to be called a believer than a christian basically because I don't discriminate against other religious practices.
I tend to like seeing things from an entirely off point of view, because I want to believe that there are more than two reasons involved in a scenario or matter, I see humans to be a complex species with lots of unusual paradoxes going on in our minds and systems, and so there should be more than two reasons why people do things or why things happen and there are also more than two intentions. I also find my thoughts to be a little bit crazy, but I know I am being true to myself and so I turn to writing to get to understand me better. And I believe if we all try to understand ourselves individually, we will be able to see things from more than just two perspectives and probably accept the gray.
I'm a woman of culture( I'm a weeb), I love anime and their story line. My favorite anime are Naruto,Death Note, and Eminence in shadow. Their stories and lessons are things that helped me find my place in society. They're one of the reasons why I am able to find happiness in my own company and still be able to socialize with others. Death note showed me that there is more to this world than black and white and that humanity is its own destruction. Naruto showed me that as long as there is a will there’s a way and every dream can be achieved, yet it also reminded me that nothing lasts forever and so cherish every moment and memory. Eminence in shadow showed me that as long as one believes in their ideals, they hold a unique power that can even affect those around them, making them the master of their own domain.
These are a few things I love to share about myself, but I do hope to get along with everyone. I am open to corrections and criticism because I believe it's an advantage to reflect on myself and test my beliefs. I hope to learn and see different shades of life through everyone's views and posts. Once again it's an honor to be a part of you.
