Honestly, it takes a lot of self-discipline and determination to handle certain things such as money and expenses. Family men and women know this better but like I earlier mentioned “discipline”.

And do you know something about discipline? A disciplinary man's mind is always opened to ideas of importance and this is the part where the infamous emergency account comes into place.
Again I must state, that saving in an emergency account isn't easy at all and more difficult for a man with a wife and kids. So if I call an emergency account 911 does that qualify it as Christmas billings? Well, it's far from where am going but more is also needed to point out the importance of an emergency account.

So now look at this and tell me what you see….

All these came through from one year of savings, consistently adding up and now, the results are out so tell me what this set of individuals would be looking for in the market pleading with the vendor to sell a bag of rice for 98k instead of 100k, or maybe if not foreign, 69k instead of 75 and above.

By the way, these goods belong to people who began their festive foodstuff implant since the year began and a very good friend of mine happens to be the one in charge of it.

To imagine this came from daily contributions (savings ) of 2000 naira and above is inspiring. For a country like mine that values festive events during the holidays accompanied by a high rate of price, a plan like this is sure what is better. As I earlier pointed out, the emergency account is an important side saving that would be a great benefit to the individual, especially someone already with a family.

From my reasoning, a lot of people got the idea of an emergency savings account but their minds already budgeted it as festive celebration money. Oh well, going broke in this case is almost inevitable and then they start afresh in January.
An emergency account isn't meant to be touched for any reason aside from emergency and when used is supposed to be returned. As a matter of fact, in my head, I got the idea that an emergency account is a loan fund for me and nothing more. This is how I chose to think of it this way so it would be easier to fill back.

Unfortunately, I wasn't among the persons who saved since the beginning of January but am not so unfortunate because I still have only myself to fend for and worry a little about my younger siblings back home with my parents. However, this is one little investment I plan on embarking on by next year. Nothing is easy to achieve, I knew this the very moment I began dealing with money but then discipline is one of the major weapons to make life work for us and once it's kept in place, we would have fewer worries and more profits our way.
