Information continues to emerge on the case of the laptop found by Hunter Biden, son of the current president of the United States of America. The matter actually seems to be the tip of the iceberg and opens a pandora's box that highlights an intricate system of censorship of the largest social networks, assisted by the Biden administration and the US secret services of the FBI. To inadvertently drop the bomb is Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook. During a podcast with Joe Rogan, a very popular columnists, Zuckerberg unveiled the FBI's interference in the Hunter Biden affair, which led it to censor the news on its social network.
Basically the FBI came to us and said: just know, you have to be alert. We think there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 elections and we know there will be a release of similar news, so be careful.
Rogan pressed Zuckerberg asking him if the US secret services were referring specifically to the story of Hunter Biden's laptop. The response of the Facebook founder:
I don't remember ... but it is in line with the notice.
In October 2020, the New York Post had published the news of the find of Hunter Biden's laptop. Compromising images of the president's son had emerged on the hard drive, including prostitutes and hard drug use. It also included a series of emails that shed light on alleged illicit lobbying by the Biden family in Ukraine and China. The news was soon branded as Russian propaganda, thanks also to a letter published by the US newspaper Politico and signed by over 50 former US intelligence agents who denied the authenticity of the files recovered.
In the midst of the presidential election, Joe Biden could not afford a scandal of this magnitude, and therefore his son's affairs were silenced for two years, only to be confirmed by the New York Times. According to recent polls, one in six Biden voters would not have voted in favor of the Democratic candidate if the news had received a great deal of coverage. Considering Biden's narrow margin of victory, it cannot be ruled out that if the news had not been suppressed, Donald Trump would have been reconfirmed for a second term.
At the time, Twitter had directly suspended the New York Post profile, preventing the newspaper from publishing content for about two weeks. Facebook's countermeasures have been more creepy. As Zuckerberg tells Rogan, the circulation of the article has been significantly reduced. Facebook's third-party fact-checkers then denied the authenticity of the NYP investigation, expressing the usual protected opinions.
Censorship appears to be on the agenda of Biden administration officials and would go far beyond the Hunter Biden affair. Government officials have in fact regularly held conferences with the teams of the main social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to censor the alleged disinformation on the platforms also relating to major untouchable issues such as Covid-19 and vaccines.
Officials educated social media employees on how to counter misinformation and false narratives, while social censorship battalions accounted for their actions. This is what emerged from the emails that social media employees and officials exchanged and that Missouri and Louisana attorneys general, Eric Schmitt and Jeffry Landry, legally obtained by filing a lawsuit against the Justice Department.
Prosecutors illustrated a vast enterprise of censorship through a multitude of federal agencies. 45 federal officials identified as educating social media on how to censor dissent. A thought suppression scheme, which starts from the upper floors of the White House, reaching public and state bodies such as the FBI, the CDC and the US drug regulator FDA. In short, information becomes disinformation and vice versa.
