A few days ago I was visiting with my daughter the Miraflores district in the south of the city of Lima. This district is well known for its beautiful parks and squares, but especially for its particular bohemian atmosphere.
Many tourists visit this area of the city because there are many interesting places to visit. In addition, it is a very clean and tidy district; walking through its streets is a relaxing and fun experience.
On our walk we could see many stores dedicated to art, not only to the sale of materials for painting and drawing but also to the sale of works by local artists. Music is also present and of course literature. There is a very nice shopping mall with small shops, all dedicated to art in its different expressions.
In a previous post I shared our visit to the Sala de Artes located in this same district, there we were able to appreciate the exhibition "La Niña No Mirada" by a Peruvian artist.
This time I share with you a more informal exhibition, a display of talent and creativity of regional artists, who show their works of art in the surroundings of Parque Kennedy.
Kennedy Park is the most emblematic of the Miraflores district. It is ideal for strolling as a couple, with family or groups of friends. On weekends it looks like an art fair. Many artists take a place in the park to exhibit their particular works to the public.
We can find diverse styles of painting, the most characteristic are the religious art and the Andean art. Most tourists are encouraged to buy a work and take a nice souvenir of their visit to the land of the Incas.
For my daughter and I it was truly a wonderful tour and a fantastic and colorful visual experience. We were able to experience the formality of an art exhibition in an Arts Hall, where we appreciated many works by a single author and contrasted it with the relaxed and colorful of the outdoor art exhibition.
I hope you can enjoy this diversity of works as much as my daughter and I did. Tell me which ones you thought were the most beautiful, for my part, I can tell you that my favorites were the Andean artworks and the paintings of the sea. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
