Technology is great until it doesn't work. Most things aren't designed with the intent to fail after a certain period of time, but with cell phones, tablets, and computers, I'm not convinced. While tech companies work to add new features and improve others, longevity is not something in their best interest. They make their money off us buying new products. If they make them last more than a few years, then they're losing money.
My old Galaxy S20 FE stopped charging via the USB port but still worked via the wireless charging feature. Even with that, however, the phone has continually slowed down and become sluggish, no doubt due to the constant "updates." Technology like this is a tool, and when it stops working as it's supposed to, I have no use for it anymore.
The S24 Ultra is working well for me. It seems to be a better caliber phone than the "FE" series of Samsung phones. Since I have a new phone, this one was just a backup existing because it was sometimes convenient to use it while my main phone was charging. Today, my patience with it was done. It still functions, but tomorrow, I'll be finishing it off for good. I'm looking forward to a fun way of disposing of it. 😈
