Hello Hivers! It's been awhile.
Hope you had the nicest weekend.
OK, I been cycling since the pandemic if you are following my posts here. Cycling has become a part of liesure time, good way to stay fit and building body stability and strenght. One has to to master the basic first before it is qualified to be called "Master". This means to undergo a lot of trainings and and progress do not happen overnight. This practiced helped me understand the importance of time dedication and willingness to improve, could it be of sports, cooking, or doing chores, or change in behavior to a better one.
I was so eagered to go out cycling farther, aside from just cycling around the subdivision. The place is getting too small and I was getting so impatient with myself. I know it's hard for my mom , to keep an eye on me or to be always around me. I know I have to do things alone soon.I know I have to be independent soon.
This were the times we had to practiced before sunrise, around 4:30 we should be out from the house. What are we doing that so early? Practice cycling of course, not because I don't know how to ride bicycle. It is to get used to the traffic, to be more alert when vehicles are behind or in front of me, how to cross to the other side of the street, when to go fast or slow, and worst what to do or troubleshoot when something isn't doing the way it should. My mom followed behind me on the motorbike and with all the complete back-up like water, extra clothes and energy bar. while I was gasping my breathe as I pedalled my way up to our goal - Valencia park. I know I could do it. But a continuous ascend is not that easy.
My mom have to yelled at me " slow down and drink your electrolytes!" Or are we going all the way or should be go home now? She sound so worried already. 😂 I'm not quitting! Pushed!
This is one of our afavorite stop-over
Sometimes on our trail, we have couples of stopped over just so we also enjoy the nature like listening to the water sound, birds and crickets. And to power up too- eating to regain energy.
Yehey! Success! I made it! This is Valencia park and I succeded in my first attempt. That took one and half hours of cycling. That soon became an easy cycling trails. Then I was having coconut water. In Philippines, coconut is bountiful. This is our number one refreshment drinks, like you will find a stall selling cooconuts in every corner. That wasn't an easy ride though. We stayed for an hour then bought some fruits to be eaten once we're home.
Until now, cycling in the main road is always scary and dangerous. I haven't even tried cycling solo to avoid unfavorable situations.
Are you a cyclist too? Let me know what are your best trail suggestions...
