The festival consists of watching short movies at night about Outdoor adventures (climbing, biking, hiking, caving, paragliders, slacklines, and mixtures of them) and practicing, or should I say trying, some of those activities the next day. The participants of the festival could do climbing, zip line, slackline, yoga, kayak, hiking, and much more during the three days-two nights camp where the Festival was on.
There also were some interesting workshops like photography, recycling, and preserving nature, animated by experts in the fields and by creative young organizations that proved themselves.
To make things even more appealing, we organized two big concerts on the site. For the first night, we brought an amazing band called Mapatché that sang some traditional Tunisian songs. Things got chaotic, in a fun way, when most of the attendants couldn't resist the temptation of dancing to the too-familiar music under the stars.

For the second concert, though, after watching the second batch of outdoor short movies, the official closure of the event was animated by a famous band called Goultrah that didn't sing traditional songs but had its own original Reggae songs.
That does not make them any less familiar to many. It was amazing to see that most of the people there knew the songs by heart and were singing along with them, me included. I didn't know the name of the band but I knew the songs and I loved most of them.

One more thing about this edition, "the green edition" as we called it, was that the projection of the films wasn't in a theatre or a closed space, as usual, we did it all in an open space, a farm that belongs to a friend of the club. We installed a stage for the bands and the projection of films and we installed poufs for the attendants. The camp and the slackline were right next to them. The hike, the biking, and the climbing happened in the nearby mountains. People only needed to move from the campsite to do the zipline and the kayak, those were a little far from everything else.

I was there as one of the organizing team as I'm part of the club that organizes the festival every year. The whole thing was another episode of our little fairy tale where our city is the most beautiful city in the world and people come to us from different continents to celebrate our peace and love for each other and for our country.
A short escape from reality during which I met so many amazing people and caught up with some old friends I haven't seen for so long. I'm so proud I played a role in making all that happen and I can't wait for the next edition.
Yup, that would be me :)
