A division of Empires Hotel Bhubaneshwar, Sahid Nagar
WE discovered this place by chance as we were looking out for some place to buy some tasty snacks for the kids. My son went to a nearest Samsung service station and was feeling hungry, so in the search of a decent hygienic place we ended up here. This is a division of the famous Empires Hotel at Sahid Nagar and we were delighted to see their offerings.
They transformed a BMW show place ( ya, they own the dealership and were putting it on display here as a show piece) to cafe during Covid, so its almost couple of years old. After tasting few items ( I can never resist after seeing such nice sweet), I felt their key to success is the quality and uniqueness even though the price is a bit high.
The above is made of jaggery and not sugar and we brought a packet of each to home as we could not satisfy ourselves with those few.
And look at those big rasagollas costing 30 rupees each. One is enough for most, not for me though.
We ordered some sandwich for both the kids as they said, they make it there with freshly baked atta bread. They have got a nice ambience to enjoy the food, so while the order was in process we captured some nice moments.
Feels like an empire, isn't it ? The ambience is definitely worth spending time, but so as the food. The hotel is an old big brand at my place, and the cafe being part of it, does justify their brand. We ended up bringing a lot of items apart from the sandwich.
And now look at the box, the big sandwich came with french fries and good enough for a lunch even - kids are now fan of this place. The cost is a bit high at around 200/- but they grilled it nicely with enough stuff and butter and it is certainly unique and value for money. Kids now want to visit this place whenever we go that side, which is a bit far from my area.
And we also got their home grown bread and I can say it was quite different in terms of quality as well as size. So apparently they have tried to establish their own brand by serving better quality, which is rewarding in long term. And the politeness and humble attitude of the sales person did please us as well - he also requested me to share my review. I am going to forward the link of this post to him.
This post will be part of my review of this place and my little hive marketing - I am sure people like honest reviews, notice these links and we will have some of them land up at our decentralized land here. I always post few photos keeping the full review only on #hive and so far my photos have got a whopping 1,309,997 views leaving me as a Local Guide · Level 6. This business was even listed as closed and I have suggested an edit today, so this review will be a testimony to that as well.
