Well after 2 days of not being about to upload pics here on Hive, I am back.
A little sad that my daily posting streak came to an end due to technical difficulty but it didn't stop me from living my life! HEY-OH!
So here we go again with a little catch up in my 30 day rune practice.
By the way, when I say '30 days' I only mean that this practice is meant to familiarize me with the runes and their meanings and how to use them in my daily life.
I certainly will keep using them, as I find the symbols somehow comforting and inspiring. Perhaps it's because I am in essence learning a new language. And one with Scandinavian and Norse history, which brings me closer to Iceland, the land that I love.
Without further ado, here is day 14. Otherwise known here as Saturday. ;)
Degaz (DAH-gaz). It's meaning is 'breakthrough'.
Maybe taking a break from the intense internet interactions I've been up to was just what the doctor ordered. The morning I pulled this rune, I had woken up with a clear vision of where I wanted to go on this wild ride of unemployment to self-employment.
So to pull the Breakthrough rune after waking up FEELING as if I had had a breakthrough guided me in a direction of trusting the intuition.
And isn't that what divination is really about? We all have intuition but so many of us just ignore it! For me, divination is a way for me to keep a constant reminder of my intuition.
Today, day 15, was another shift in this practice.
The first week was a lot of getting to know the symbols.
This past, second, week I shifted into an additional 3 rune draw in order to get a better understanding of a 'story'. Each morning I considered a specific situation for clarity, before pulling 3 runes.
I chose not to share these for 2 reasons.
- It can get a little personal, and
- It can really turn into a long post when days are missed...like yesterday.
So anyway, today I've moved into the 3rd week. Days 15-21 starts off as they all do, with the daily focus. This is the bit I share with you each day.
(My motive with this is simply to maybe spark interest in your own divination practice in order to get in tune with your intuition.)
Today, Raido (RA-dough), 'journey'.
I've pulled this a few times, as recently as last Thursday, in fact.
With a message like 'journey', and being in the position where I am and constantly wondering if I'm being crazy or if I can really make this shift in my life work (HELLO! INTUITION, PLEASE!)...it's a pretty likely rune to draw.
'Each morning when we wake, we can take steps forward in our journey, or we can stand in place.'
I'm referencing RUNE READING YOUR LIFE during this challenge and I bought it during a trip to our local metaphysical boutique, here on Cape Cod.
Week 3 is all about using the runes in order to dig deeper into relationships. For the next 7 days I will be pulling SIX runes! In addition to the single daily focus rune, I'll do a 6 rune pull while considering a person who is significant in my life (past or present).
This multi-rune draw is why I will stick to the single share.
But a peek into the meanings, this draw is a way to look into my own past and present and that of this 'significant person'. (That's two runes each). The remaining two runes will tell of the lesson I am here to teach that person and then the lesson they are here to teach me.
It's all very interesting and I am curious what sorts of things I will not only learn, but also consider as I move ahead in life.
I hope you are enjoying this exploration into divination via rune reading. I am also very into Oracle cards and beginning to learn the Tarot as well. One never knows where this will go, once this 30 days is up.
