Yesterday was a far cry from a week ago heading to the chiro. The heroic doses of vitamin D with the muscle relaxers have meant my body was not feeling like one massive ball of aching muscle. I SO want a table like these. I've been designing one in my head and will probably have to draw it up this winter to see if it would be feasible. I'm pretty sure I could build one for WAY less than these cost...
When I got up in the morning I checked the freeze dryer to find it had a few minutes left in the cycle so I added a couple hours to the time and once I was back home it was done.
All the trays came out perfect and the garlic is STUPENDOUS!!!! I am super looking forward to next harvest when we have hundreds of heads to work with.
Still a ton in the cooler that needs running including celery and bunching onions.
I am none to impressed with the communication level as I had to email again about my garlic order to be told they ran out of the one variety and would sub another. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW 3 WEEKS AGO!!! Anyway the 3 should be shipping out today. I'm having a shitty time with Kaboomracks now refusing to respond to emails about my order for the S19....
The rest of the morning I spent working in the yard on the cleanup from the stump. I got all the wood chunks moved and raked out the area again. I have to back the trailer in to haul out a load of rocks to the wall along the road.
@stryeyz came home mid day and we went to J's schoool for their Halloween parade through the school. All the grades tromped through in line with the fifth graders first and then on down to the kinders.
J in his Pokemon costume.
We were first out to the cars and headed for home so @stryeyz could get back to work and I could keep on my tasks. The garlic garden needed new fence up. The birds were getting through the field fence so I hauled the rolls of bird wire over that had been around the inner yard and put it up to block them off.
The teens did manage their way in from around the back side but they got a whoopin and booted quite far.
The fence can finally stay opened now that the garlic garden is enclosed better.
Something about that 3rd dart that just refuses to follow the first 2.
The Kraken played and holy balls did they kick ass. Took 27 seconds for the first goal and they just kept adding.
I got a fire going in the pit to work on the wood debris. It was quite nice to have the warm fire going as it got colder into the evening.
The Kraken kept pounding and putting up goals and were super far ahead starting the 3rd period. In the end they won 8-2 and Montour got his first career hat trick. THIS is how the team is supposed to look and play!
That damned wire.... SOOO close, YET AGAIN!
Soaked for a while until my skin called time. I went to bed quite happy to have read that ETH was sacked as Utd manager. I can only hope this lights a fire in all the player's asses to turn this abortion of a season around.
Woke up to the jaw muscle pain this morning at 4am and the Flexeril is finally starting to work. I will get the boys to school in a bit, the new cable for the Starlink will be here so I can mount the dish to the tree to give us less obstructions, both boys have half days and school conferences, then they and @stryeyz have the rest of the week off, Man Utd play their first match with the new manager, I'm working on my #Meshtastic nodes still, and have the continued cleanup around the farm.
