Harvests, Appointments, Scooter Tires, Cart, Tires, Designing - Tuesday

After getting the boys to school yesterday morning I was out in the garden for the few things that were ready to pick.

Just a few cucumbers and I accidentally yanked a tomato branch off so got a few green ones in the tub.

My day was pretty well torched as I had to head to town for my 10am chiro appointment which I desperately needed. As soon as the decompression machine pulled on my back I felt my hip pain reduce a lot. It came back some after but it was much improved. I came up with a way to do the same at home and will be trying to build it today.

On my way home I stopped at North 40 for the new scooter tires. These have much taller side walls but are still the same rim size. Much better knobby traction should make for better climbing ability.

I only had about half an hour before I had to leave again. This time for my IFS appointment in the valley. My improvement has lead me to now where I will be going to at least once a month instead of every week.

I was checking the map and distances/time for driving and saw one of the C&G stores so went to check their menu. I was rather surprised to see that they had a couple cbg carts listed so after my appointment I stopped in and they DID have them. I've been searching the local stores for carts since we got back from our Canada trip so I made sure to grab a couple. This cart is quite comparable, I just wish there were 2g tanks.

Back home I got to work swapping the tires out on the scooter and what a difference it makes for the ground clearance. I found that the sport switch drops the capabilities of the motor to about half, so really isn't that useful for me. It's wired in though so it is what it is. The turn buckle was a serious problem as it was bending so I bent each end to a loop. I think I have a way to mount the batteries better but I will have to build brackets to attache to the openings in the frame in front of the tire.

The tires from the yard got moved down to the pile where I still need to organize them all better. I probably should just move the garbage ones out to the dump area so they aren't gathering water to breed mosquitoes here near the house. I have a ton of other crap that needs to be moved out there as well.

It was cloudy so we didn't get to see the full moon thing going on. I abused my super sore joints and muscles with the Theracane while soaking. It only did so much so I took a muscle relaxer before bed which helped immensely. I actually slept through the night better without waking every time I rolled over from pain.

Today I'll get the boys to school, get harvests done, will try to get the decompression setup built, work on scooter, move posts to wood pile area, cover garlic garden, gather worm grunting tools for Friday, then come up with something for dinner this evening.
