Yesterday morning I got out to the garden around 9am and got the few harvests done. EPL was on all morning and I caught a number of the matches as I was in and out of the house.
Everyone wanted to go with me to check on the old den on the side of the hill and I got the camera and light up inside to find it has not been used in a while as there were cobwebs all around it. I am going to fill it in this coming week as the top is fairly loose.
Went into the pen and pulled the south trap and camera then went to the north trap and cam and found the trap had been set off but nothing was in it. I swapped the card in the trail cam to take down and see what it was but I also reset both traps in the hole.
I had seen a pine cone next to the trap and tossed it aside. Well, that pine cone was from the squirrel that went to climb under the fence and set the trap off scaring the shit out of it. I will go back up today and pull the camera and traps now that I know.
The beans have taken their sweet ass time to get to production level as I got a solid 7 pound haul.
For dinner we had street tacos so J made the dough for the tortillas and I pressed and cooked them.
My first time using the Blackstone for tortillas and it worked quite well. I am looking forward to tying it again with the proper flour recipe of dough.
It's footyball time again and I peaked at the Seahawks but didn't watch long, I don't think the will do much of anything this year.
Pulled a bunching scallion from the row which I need to go through and thin out and get a bunch freeze dried.
UFC was on and I really wanted Isy to win but DDP got him in the end.
Later out to soak thanks to the fights. There was some solid thunderstorms out to the west that we could see the lightning from the whole time.
This morning I will get the harvests done, hike the hill for the traps and cam, then mid day I am heading up to Inkler's to fly my paraglider with other club members, R's trowel will be here today and the detector will be here tomorrow.
