Homesteading is learning.
It only took two generations for the knowledge our great-grandparents had to almost vanish. As convenience stepped in, the need to know how to cultivate a garden and how to grow food for your family and how to raise livestock for meat and other self-sufficient skills dissipated.
I wish it didn’t in my family line, but it did.
You can homestead from anywhere. Our great-grandparents did it on the prairies and up on the mountains, but you can do it from wherever you are at. If you can’t keep livestock, you can still learn to bake from scratch, make home remedies, build a food storage, and source your food locally.
Don’t fixate on the why, take the opportunity of today!
What do you want to learn?
