My home made plantain-chips.

Hello,
In my city and state, plaintain chips are seen and regarded as an in between meal's snacks. Many people crave to eat them after quality meals. They are taken at anytime but mostly during the day, that's after lunch, people go out buying plantain chips. They are in two categories..._
The riped plantain chips and
the unriped plantain all turned into chips.

In my premises, we have so many of them. Coupled with the fact that this is the season for plantains to bear fruits. They're almost common now. We have different species of plantains. There are the very slim long types, the normal size and that very type i wrote about here sometimes ago that is typically bearing twin bunches of plantain each time it bears fruits....

But here today, i just want to show case how i turned a bunch of plantain into chips. We all in the family enjoyed the outcome as snacks. My son who is on long vacation holiday from the university almost ate all of them for the taste of it. Myself and the rest of my family members ate and ate, we enjoyed it till the end of them all.

You know it's a home made plantain chips. I started the process and the procedure from the beginning to the end. So it has that home made special touch, flavour and taste to be precised.

METHOD TO ACTUALISE MY DREAM:

I just had this very majored plantain tree cut down. All these were from one tree. I disconnected them from their connection point, ready to use them for my desired purpose.... CHIPS, CHIPS, CHIPS.

Here i was peeling off their green back side so i can get the real thing inside.... Plantain.

Still at the back peeling stage of the preparation before frying them to get the delicious chippy plantains.

I just ended slicing the plantains to acceptable sizes to enable me make my deep fry faster and good.

I cleaned my frying pan, add some amount of vegetable oil allow it get very hot by lighting the gas coocker. As the oil gets very hot, i added some quantities of the already sliced plantains. Allow them to fry for some minutes. Just when they turn browny, shows they're really ready for use.

This is a browny crispy plantain chips, completely a home made affairs 😂. Very beautiful, i sprinkled a pinch of salt on some of them before frying while i still fried some just like that, naturally as they were harvested. Both methods are tasty and they came out very fine.

There are no much to do to achieve this only following this my foot steps it will give you what you will love to eat and share with others as i did.

Cut down majored plantain tree, i hope you already know that plantains are permitted to bear their fruits once in their life time. Each plantain tree bears it's fruit once. After which it can never fruit again. That's why it has to be cut down. I think that's why they tend to bear much more babies from their roots.

Just check them out, you will discover that each plantain tree has so many babies growing up from their roots that's also why platain settle themselves in clusters.
Because every tree is making sure to shoot out another that will keep their life span rotating.

Plantains do not die easily, they are very resistant to drought and can retain some water in their bodies to sustain and maintain their lives in drought. Very resilient in nature. They can stand every test ot time.

These are three different levels of brownies.

This is the browny colour.

This is the brownie colour.

This is the less browny colour. All of them tastes fine and are equally crispy as you are chewing them there by giving you the joy of enjoying my crispy plantain chips.
