Happy week day, can you imagine again that the month of February is wrapping up faster more than the just concluded January, allegedly..😂. Okay...!
Palm trees are significantly and tremendously very beneficial to mankind, palm trees are notably and tenaciously outstanding anytime, any day, in every continents of the world, Africa inclusive.
Palm trees are known to have some pivotal roots that sink very much deeper into the earth to draw some surplus of water and nutrients up to the trunk and then to the palm fronts which positions them to becoming ever green. That also has made them very healthy and very ready for quality fruiting all the times.
Palm tress has so many species and their fruitings are as well different from one another in sizes and the level of redishness. Some fruits are not fleshy and may not be enjoyable while chewing. While some others are.
Fat dwarfish brand and the tall slim brand.
Some palm trees are very slim, very tall and lanky while some of them are dwarfish and plumpy, very reachable while cutting the fruity bunches. They have fruity bunches and their fruits are soft and deep while chewing them while others are not.
When chewing palm fruits, some are deeply softer than the other types. Palm trees grow very lofty in nature, more over, the local bush African palm trees are equally very fruity, while others are not so fruity.

HEIGHT & LIFE SPAN OF THE AFRICAN BUSH PALM TREES;
The African local bush palm trees are very tall, slim, lanky, and very lofty in nature. Bearing quality fruits, though the environments they grow up, most times determine how tall they can grow and also their life span. They can grow as tall as in the neighborhood of 180 feet tall into the air. One hundred and eighty feet tall, can you guess that?. This is allegedly an argument but looking at them, i believe this could be true. Because they are outrageously tall, lanky, full of greenish healthy fronts having a tremendous height too.
Some school of thought has arguably said that the African bush palm trees are not that tall and has no standard height we can carefully measure, but many gets as tall as that or may even be taller than that. Anyway, This is under probability. But I so much believe they're very tall.
There are many species of palm trees, but majorly the comparison here is between the nurseries and the local bush palm trees. The Palm trees we know, address, and referred to as the nursery palm trees and their fruits as "agriculture" in our local dialect, we call them "Osukwu" .

I socked these ones in hot water and was enjoying them, very deeply delicious.
This type has so much crude like liquid when pounded and squeezed for cooking "Ofe akwu" rice source in my local dialect. Though some fruits from the local bush palm trees are as nice in that way. But it's majorly found within the nursery fruits.
Palm trees significantly has an enduring methodology. During either dry season or rainy season. They stand out firm in any of these weather conditions, they portray a very outstanding enduring behavior during the extreme dry season and during very heavy rainy weather conditions. Palm trees, live a very prolonged life span, bearing fruits, flourishing, having greenish fronts because they draw both water and their nutrients deeply from the ground. They have sustainable and resilient abilities at all whether.
Having their roots very deeply and firmly fixed into the earth naturally unlike many other trees that dries up suddenly and die during a very extreme, harsh and terrific dry and hot temperatures we find mostly in our continent, Africa, where palm trees mostly grow.
Palm trees are ever useful, having greenish palm fronts, healthy, fruitfully having many bunches in one tree at a time. Even the holy book promised us that,
"we shall flourish like the palm tree" Palm trees are ever flourishing all through the years and their lives. It's a good omen.
USEFULNESS OF PALM TREES;
Palm trees are completely useful in every ramifications.
PALM FRUITS/RED OIL;
- Palm trees bear fruits that are processed into red palm oil used for cooking anything that deserves it.
Red oil is used to make all kinds of African soups, frying garri, cooking porridge beans and porridge yams, and for cooking " Okpaa", a kind of African food.

GREENISH PALM FRONTS;
- Palm trees has an ever green palm fronts that are ever useful. Palm fronts are scraped into sweeping house brooms. These are used in the towns, cities and villages, palm fronts can be used to make durable house fences for house protections against thieves and unwanted elements in the neighborhood.
PALM WINE;
- Palm trees, when cut down, their trumps are cut again, some mysterious juice will be dropping from within the trunk, that's the palm wine people drink every where. It's a natural blend and gift from nature.
To me, it's as mysterious as locating fresh coconut water from inside coconut. The question now is, how did this palm wine liquid formed and also how did water got into a ball of coconut in the tree. Now, Who placed the liquid in there?. At this point , palm wine tapers can arrange to start the production of palm wine that are locally made, and are enjoyable by palm wine drinkers in the localized squares of the villages and towns too. It's a lucrative business too.
PALM KARNELS;
- Palm karnels are used to produce and proccess natural oil both for body cream and bathing soaps, to take care of our skin types by cosmetologists. Palm karnels are cracked to bring out the fruits inside the karnel known as palm karnel fruits. You can as well chew them and suck up the tasty liquid from within it. They're regarded as snacks in the locals...😂😂.

PALM TREE FIBERS;
- Palm trees produce fibers for making up kitchen light at the fireplace for cooking meals. These are produced by boiling, pounding, squeezing with added water to get out the crude for cooking "ofe akwu" in a smaller unit, but when making bigger oil for gallon containers and bigger jars, they will be produced in a larger oil mill. The fire making fibers will be bigger and larger for more usefulness.
HOUSE BROOMS;
6.Do you realize that house brooms are made from palm fronts. When we were pupils in my formative years, we normally convert palm fronts into house brooms as were assigned to us as our school handiwork assignments. We usually get into the bush cut some palm fronts, come home and start scraping the palm front one by one with sharp razor blade. After that, we will gather them into bunches of brooms.
Each an every class members must provide theirs one after the other, and our class teachers will give us some scores. We may have high scores or lower scores depending on your presentations and how beautiful the brooms look like. Those that couldn't bring theirs were given some strokes of our teacher's canes. You know now, they will cry and cry, while we laugh at them 🤣.
FENCING
7.We at those days and years were as well assigned to bring to school very long palm fronts for making new school fencies or making a completely new fencies to protect our school premises. All through our growing up years as school pupils, it was always assignments to a certain classes to bring such, but mostly our boys are assigned to do that, and all of us during our manual labour, the whole pupils in the school premises will file out from our classrooms to do the fencing. For the protection of our school compound and our class rooms, they were funny lifestyles we lived then, but they were okay.
In conclusion,
Palm trees are part of our daily lives, we may not do without palm trees and their usefulness.
