Water leave is a typical leave found in our neighborhoods. In my garden at home, water leaves are everywhere, forming majority of the unwanted grasses i regularly weed away from my garden.

They naturally germinate and occupy vast areas of my garden. Sometimes i cut them up to make some soup with melon seeds or you can call it
( Ofe egusi and mui-mui ikong). The Igbo name for water leaves.

Water leaves planted in ridges or beds.

See how healthy they are growing just in few months of planting them.

The Botanical name for water leave is Talinum triangular. Water leave is also known as celyon spinach it's a legiumeous leave. Has much water within it, very greenish and leavy. Very lucrative business.

When they grow to a certain level they're cut and tie in sizes and send out for sales, bunch by bunch people will be buying to make different types of soups as i have enumerated.

Water leave is loaded with vitamins and minerals, thereby fights Anemia in people's lives. It aids digestion and softens our stomachs to ease and cleans out what ever that is loaded within us, that has turned to waste. It's like a cleancer also. Water leave is a blood builder itself, it builds and sustains blood in the body, contributing to our healthiness .

Water leave has so many usefulness;
It's a greenish leave we use to make assorted types of soups like,

Pumpkin leave soup. (Ofe egusi and ugu)
Afang soup. ( Ukazi and water leaves)

Ukazi leave and water leave soup.

Same here.

Olugbu soup ( bitter leave and water leaves)
Water leave and ukazi soup.
Water leave and egusi soup.

Water leave is a quality combination with any other leave to make a perfect edibles and soups suitable for our swallows in Africa and in my country.
Even in our local markets, a little bunch is sold very expensive because it's in a higher demands. Moreover in the weekends mother make bigger cookings because every family is mostly at jome

Water leaves are planted by using the stems to plant on your already made ridges as you can see in the above picture in this post.

When you decide to plant water leaves vegetables, you dig up your ridges or beds as some call it. Then you get the water leave stems and begin to plant them one by one into the soil.

Like by two to four days, your water leaves will start sprouting, they're lively vegetables like plantain and banana, they don't die easily, they survive even in the droughts.

During dry season, they're still striving to be alife though not very leavy at that point of the wheather condition, but they always survive dry seasons and drought.
Though they love water, they have lots of water in them because they're legiumionious in nature.

Hehehe... This is presenting the wonders of water leaves vegetable, the wonderful leave full of all kinds of vitamins and minerals,

please try making use of water leaves, they're very ok for our good health and fresh looks. You can use it to prepare porridge yam, porridge sweet potatoes or Irish potatoes, you can equally prepare it as a source to eat any other food of your choice.

Welcome to my post as usual, we will keep working together making hive ecosystem greater than we met it.

All pictures are mine, taken through my Tecno spark 8 phone camera for this purpose.
