Hello friends, I am telling you that I have 23 avocado plants on my farm, and 21 of them already have fruits, but one of these plants is the one that impresses me the most, since it differs from the others due to the number of fruits grouped together as a group. bouquet, yesterday I was looking at several bouquets and in each one there was an average of 12 avocados grouped, the truth is that this is impressive, because the other plants have 3 to 5 fruits per branch.
Look at these avocado wedges:
I generally select my seeds, taking into account the shape, size and flavor. I like that they are large, oval, with a deep yellow flesh and that this flesh does not contain a lot of water. I currently have avocado trees whose fruits reach up to a kilo despite weighing, but I don't know how this avocado tree with small fruits and also grouped in the form of branches was born, I tell you, that I have come to count up to 12 avocados grouped together, hanging from the tip of a branch.
My avocado trees on the farm:
I have avocado trees with fruits that weigh up to 1 kilo:
Yes, friends, I have many avocado trees, which bear good fruit, but the truth is that this plant I am talking about is very different from the others, despite the fact that its fruits are small, but it is compensated by the amount of fruit it produces. In addition, they have a delicious and incomparable flavor.
Look at the number of fruits hanging from the branches.
Well friends, I have been researching the varieties of avocados on the Internet and so far I have not found a plant that looks like mine, the diameter of each fruit is 3 inches and round in shape, but I tell you, it is a real delight , this avocado is so tasty, that it has become the family's favorite, every time my children go to the farm they want me to give them avocados from that tree, the pulp of this avocado is really creamy and I like it a lot although all my avocados are good.
It is a small fruit, but tasty:
Why was this type of tree born if it was not from my selection?
I have asked myself this question several times, but everything has its explanation, it turns out friends, that the most certain thing is that the fruit that I selected to plant comes from a hybrid or grafted tree, so its fruits inherited the characteristics of the plant they used as a pattern, because in reality when I select the avocado seeds I do it taking into account the size and flavor, I never select seeds of small fruits like the one of this tree, that's why I think that the seed of this plant is from a grafted tree, so now its fruits have acquired the shape and size of the tree that was taken as a rootstock, because the grafts are made to improve the characteristics of the fruits, such as size, shape and flavor, here on the farm I have an avocado tree that It bears two types of fruit, on some branches it bears elongated fruits like pears and on other branches its fruits are almost round. This tree is 21 years old. I think little by little Little Poco has been inheriting the characteristics of the pattern tree, since about 10 years ago all its fruits were oval, now they have these two shapes, pear and semi-round.
Well friends, the truth is this avocado tree has become the darling of the farm, now I am going to collect its seeds to produce other plants, maybe I will try to improve its size through grafting, I ask God to give me wisdom to to be able to do these grafts, because it is a tree that gives many avocados and I want to improve its size, so far I do not know what type of avocado this is, but I will continue investigating. greetings.
