Para el pixel art de esta ocasión quise no usar como base la carta, y buscar tomar un sentido diferente, pero tomándolo como referencia. Y como boceto usaré un gato en "modo" pelea.
For the pixel art on this occasion I wanted not to use the letter as a base, and seek to take a different meaning, but taking it as a reference. And as a sketch I will use a cat in "fight" mode.
Lo siguiente fue agregar las vestimentas del personaje y arreglar algunas zonas de los bordes para tener una imagen más limpia. Así como ajustar un poco la prenda en relación a la postura del boceto.
The next thing was to add the character's clothing and fix some areas of the edges to have a cleaner image. As well as adjusting the garment a little in relation to the posture of the sketch.
En este paso quite todas líneas de los bordes, dejando solo los que se usara para diferenciar la forma y donde quedaran las sombras, aunque también tomar en cuenta que agregar los colores base en este paso es importante.
In this step, remove all lines from the edges, leaving only those that will be used to differentiate the shape and where the shadows will be, although also take into account that adding the base colors in this step is important.
Viendo que no me gusto el color, y que me veía limitado por la paleta limitada, opte por cambiar los colores y me tomo buen tiempo. Así como algunos colores en la vestimenta y detalle lo que sería la parte del rostro.
Seeing that I didn't like the color, and that I was limited by the limited palette, I decided to change the colors and it took me a while. As well as some colors in the clothing and details of what would be the part of the face.
En esta parte me enfoque en buscar colores y texturas en la prenda, así como darle un gesto al personaje que lo haga ver más enojado, dando así un mejor mensaje de lucha. Las sombras son cosas que uno no debe complicarse, pues la esencia de las mismas es hacer "x y z" con las sombras, lo cual es interesante.
In this part I focused on looking for colors and textures in the garment, as well as giving the character a gesture that makes him look angrier, thus giving a better message of struggle. Shadows are things that one should not complicate, since the essence of them is to do "x and z" with the shadows, which is interesting.
Por último, agregue un globo de texto o en este caso imagen para dar a entender mucho más el mensaje, y talvez darle una historia a la imagen. Y pues me gusto bastante el resultado, aunque tengo mis dudas de que parezca un gato.
Lastly, add a speech bubble or in this case an image to further convey the message, and perhaps give the image a story. And I really liked the result, although I have my doubts that it looks like a cat.
