Greetings Splinterlands community, welcome to this latest series where we explore the usefulness and potential of the soulbound that we currently get in the glint shop when purchasing card draws. The capabilities of these cards can be reinforced thanks to the presence of the gladius cards that we can obtain with merits.

🔱 Splinter Death & Earth
Well friends, in the previous series that you can find in my Blog I discussed at length the reasons for these publications, from the changes in the wild format, the high price of Rebellion cards and the increase in the Sps requirement. In each of these aspects is involved the need to pay amounts of money that I personally consider unfair and go against the spirit of Splinterlands.

One of the main consequences that I see of so many changes is that for rookies and new players getting into this project is little less than going through a via crucis. I'm not even sure how SPL interprets the difficulty curve if you start getting to know the rookie/bronze league and they directly match you with guys with maximum cards! Link in the image:

This is one of the battles that my friend @lightbruce17 shared with me who started the season in bronze and is literally suffering blood to progress in modern. So, the reflection is that if for those of us who have a minimum of knowledge of the game the difficulty curve is extremely long and frustrating, I don't want to imagine new players.

⚔️1st Battle/1era Batalla: Octavia Shadowmeld & Liza Fox⚔️

Ok friends, we start this battle with 2 quite complicated rules: poison on the battlefield and everyone has the same amount of life, the best strategy here is to use units that apply some type of affliction that nullifies the enemy strategy. In this sense we have a powerful gladius card: Liza Fox, this card at level 4 applies stun that will be of great help to us in this battle.
Ok amigos, comenzamos esta batalla con 2 reglas bastante complicadas: veneno en el campo de batalla y todos tienen la misma cantidad de vida, la mejor estrategia aquí es usar unidades que apliquen algún tipo de aflicción que anule la estrategia enemiga. En este sentido contamos con una potente carta gladius: Liza Fox, esta carta en nivel 4 aplica stun que nos será de gran ayuda en esta batalla.

🧙 Summoner/ Invocador: Octavia Shadowmeld
Octavia Shadowmeld is not the summoner that I use the most in the soulbound series but in this case she has an ability that will help us in this condition: reducing the life of all enemy units by -1 and also being able to use a gladius card.

🎴 Harklaw
Harklaw will be our main tank, under these ruleset it is very likely that our opponent will also use units with afflictions, so Harklaw with his immunity ability will not be affected by any type of affliction. His shield ability gives him high resistance to melee and range damage, this ensures that he will withstand a lot of damage on the front lines.
Harklaw será nuestro tanque principal, bajo estas ruleset es muy probable que nuestro oponente también utilice unidades con aflicciones, así que Harklaw con su habilidad immunity no se verá afectado por algún tipo de aflicción. The next card is a melee support for the tank: Shadow Snitch, taking advantage of the ruleset equalizer this card is very convenient, it has very good speed and although it does not do great damage, it prevents the tank from healing.

Revealer is a unit immune to poison, making it an important piece of our lineup. It also has the ability to stun its target, which will help us cripple our opponent's offensive potential.

🎴 Liza Fox
As I previously mentioned Liza Fox is an exceptional card in both damage and speed. Beyond its bloodlust ability that allows it to increase its statistics by eliminating other cards, it strategically has the stun ability that allows it to incapacitate the enemy tank, this is very convenient to combine with other abilities such as knock out.
Como anteriormente comenté Liza Fox es una carta excepcional tanto en daño como en velocidad. Más allá de su habilidad bloodlust que le permite incrementar sus estadísticas al eliminar otras cartas, estratégicamente cuenta con la habilidad stun que le permite incapacitar al tanque enemigo, esto es muy conveniente para combinarse con otras habilidades como knock out.
🎴 Lira the Dark
Lira is a very good offensive card, it targets weaker units but also has support abilities such as swiftness that increases the speed of allied units by +1. With this unit we close our alignment, its high speed gives it a high evasion rate so we will have our rear guard covered.
Lira es una muy buena carta ofensiva, apunta hacia las unidades más débiles pero también cuenta con habilidades de apoyo como swiftness que incrementa la velocidad de las unidades aliadas en +1. Con esta unidad cerramos nuestra alineación, su alta velocidad le confiere una alta tasa de evasión así que tendremos cubierta nuestra retaguardia.
⚔️ Battle/Batalla
🔥 Round 1 & 2
At the beginning of the 1st round we noticed that our opponent surpasses us by 3 levels with his lvl 8 summoner but we have a high damage power and the first victim to fall is Arkemis the Bear, the main tank thanks to the stun that Revealer applied was incapacitated for Shadow Snitch to dispatch him with an accurate attack. Venator Kinjo was the next to fall as our lineup continues without suffering any casualties.
Al comenzar el 1er round notamos que nuestro oponente nos supera por 3 niveles con su invocador lvl 8 pero nosotros contamos con un alto poder de daño y la primera víctima en caer es Arkemis the Bear, el tanque principal gracias al stun que aplico Revealer fue incapacitado para que Shadow Snitch lo despachara con un ataque certero. Venator Kinjo fue el siguiente en caer mientras nuestra alineación continúa sin sufrir ninguna baja.
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
Already in the third round we eliminated the Magi of Chaos but it was also the end for our tank Harklaw who fell to Usut who increased his statistics. The poison continues to wreak havoc by weakening the enemy ranks, giving us the opportunity to eliminate Riftwing in the 4th round leaving the opponent with Xenith monk and Usut.
Ya en el tercer round eliminamos al Magi of Chaos pero también fue el final para nuestro tanque Harklaw que cae a manos de Usut quien aumenta sus estadísticas. El veneno continúa haciendo estragos al debilitar las filas enemigas, lo que nos da la oportunidad de eliminar a Riftwing en el 4to round dejando al oponente con Xenith Monk y Usut.
🔥 Rounds 5 & 6
In the 5th round we managed to eliminate the Xenith Monk but Usut had time to dispatch Shadow Snitch and become stronger. However, Usut's last effort was in vain, the combined attack of Lira and Liza Fox who withstood the effect of the poison until this 6th round was more than enough to end this threat and obtain the victory. Next battle!
En el 5to asalto logramos eliminar al Xenith Monk pero Usut tuvo tiempo para despachar a Shadow Snitch y hacerse más fuerte. Sin embargo ese último esfuerzo de Usut fue en vano, el ataque combinado de Lira y Liza Fox que aguantaron el efecto del veneno hasta este 6to round fue más que suficiente para acabar con esta amenaza y obtener la victoria. Siguiente batalla!

In my order of priorities, Lobb Lowland is the third soulbound summoner that I use the most, this time as only units with magic attacks and melee can join the battle, speed plays an important role so with this summoner we will reduce the opponent's capacity to strike the first blow and we will have the opportunity to use one of my favorite summoners: Katrelba Gobson.
En mi orden de prioridades, Lobb Lowland es el tercer invocador soulbound que más utilizo, en esta ocasión como solo pueden unirse a la batalla unidades con ataques mágicos y melé, la velocidad juega un papel importante así que con este invocador reduciremos la capacidad del oponente de dar el primer golpe y tendremos la oportunidad de usar uno de mis invocadores favoritos: Katrelba Gobson.
🎴 Gargoya Lion
Surely our opponent will use a card with a magic attack aiming at the vanguard, for that reason the most convenient tank for us is Gargoya Lion, this card due to its speed and ability to fly has a high evasion rate. Lastly and most importantly, it has the void ability that allows it to resist magical attacks.
Seguramente nuestro oponente usará una carta con ataque mágico apuntando a la vanguardia por esa razón el tanque más conveniente para nosotros es Gargoya Lion, esta carta por su velocidad y la capacidad de volar tiene una alta tasa de evasión. Por último y más importante cuenta con la habilidad vacío que le permite resistir ataques mágicos.
🎴 Katrelba Gobson
On other occasions we have explored the potential of this card, I currently have it at level 6 after a lot of effort in brawls and I must say that it becomes highly competent, not only does it do great base damage, but it also has the snare ability for which does not fail aerial targets, we will place this gladius in third position.
En otras oportunidades hemos explorado el potencial de esta carta, actualmente la tengo en nivel 6 luego de mucho esfuerzo en las brawls y debo decir que se vuelve altamente competente, no solo hace un gran daño base, sino que además cuenta con la habilidad snare por lo que no falla objetivos aéreos, ubicaremos esta gladius en la tercera posición.

In the 1st round we see how the attacks are absorbed by Mycelic Slipspawn while Katrelba Gobson kills her first card: Gobolano Soldier. This first kill was enough to send Katrelba into a frenzy and for the second round she ruthlessly eliminated Tenyii Striker and Torch Vizier leaving the opponent with only 2 cards in her lineup!
En el 1er round observamos como los ataques son absorbidos por Mycelic Slipspawn mientras ya Katrelba Gobson liquida a su primera carta: Gobolano Soldier. Esta primera baja fue suficiente para que Katrelba entrara en frenesí y para el segundo round eliminó sin miramientos a Tenyii Striker y a Torch Vizier dejando al oponente solo con 2 cartas en su alineación!
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
By round 3, Katrelba leaves Chimney Wallstop so weakened that Veneari Scout gives him the final blow, so that it is finally Katrelba who finishes eliminating Grimbardum Smith and thus achieves an impeccable victory without losing any units.

- The gladius with the greatest potential in the death class are mainly ranged, while in the ground class they are melee, keep this in mind when establishing your lineup. In the case of the death splinter, gladius also stands out with affliction abilities that can make the difference in long battles of attrition.
- Las gladius con mayor potencial en la clase muerte son principalmente rango, mientras que en la clase tierra son melé, tenga esto presente al momento de establecer su alineación. En el caso del splinter de muerte también destacan gladius con habilidades de aflicción que pueden hacer la diferencia en largas batallas de desgaste.
