No les voy a negar que al ver en la portada de Ready Player Hive mi juego de cartas favorito me emociona. Precisamente esa es la temática de esta semana en este encuentro que tenemos cada semana en RPH.
Hablar de juegos de cartas me trae a mi mente muchos, la mayoría de ellos son juegos NFT, aunque no todos por supuesto, pero podría mencionar en los que estoy más activo y que a día de hoy me siguen gustando: Risingstar, dCrops y mi favorito Splinterlands.
Risingstar tiene un número gigante de cartas y la colección aumenta cada mes con la salida de nuevas cartas, es buen juego y lo mejor que veo es que tienen NFTs musicales para promocionar artistas independientes, no paran de tener actualizaciones y nuevas formas de generar tokens, que con algo de suerte se puede traducir en ingresos económicos. En el caso de este juego las cartas tienen un sentido más hacia la colección como una especie de álbum de barajitas.

I'm not going to deny that seeing my favorite card game on the cover of Ready Player Hive makes me excited. Precisely that is the theme of this week in this meeting that we have every week in RPH.
Talking about card games brings to my mind many, most of them are NFT games, although not all of them of course, but I could mention the ones I am most active in and that to this day I still like: Risingstar, dCrops and my favorite Splinterlands.
Risingstar has a giant number of cards and the collection increases every month with the release of new cards, it is a good game and the best thing I see is that they have musical NFTs to promote independent artists, they keep having updates and new ways to generate tokens, which with some luck can be translated into economic income. In the case of this game the cards have a sense more towards the collection as a kind of album of playing cards.
dCrops es un juego de siembras y cosechas, siempre me han gustado los juegos de granjas y gestión y este me flechó (fuera de chinazo) desde su salida. También sigue teniendo actualizaciones constantes y cada vez se pueden hacer más cosas en comparación a cuando salió que solo era sembrar y cosechar. A diferencia del anterior, las cartas son funcionales y van más allá que una simple colección.

dCrops is a game of planting and harvesting, I've always liked farm and management games and this one charmed me (out of chinazo) since its release. It also continues to have constant updates and each time you can do more things compared to when it came out which was only planting and harvesting. Unlike the previous one, the cards are functional and go beyond a simple collection.
Por último y mi favorito, Splinterlands, un juego de cartas que no solo sirven para colección y tienen alguna función, sino que sirven como soldados o guerreros en nuestras batallas, este juego me tiene enamorado a pesar de su mecánica semiautomática.
Existen diversas ediciones de cartas, estas han ido aumentando desde su salida, actualmente no solo se pueden utilizar las cartas para enviarlas a la batalla, sino que también se pueden usar para que trabajen en las tierras, así es, Splinterlands hace un tiempo sacó las llamadas Lands y estas pueden generar recursos según el tipo, esta opción del juego tiene espacios para colocar cartas que se dediquen a trabajar y producir recursos, a mayor nivel tenga la carta, mayor rareza y si es lámina dorada entonces sería mejor la producción, también se pueden agregar totems y títulos. Como he dicho, no solo se trata de coleccionar cartas sino que éstas tienen sus respectivas funciones que van más allá de la batalla.

Finally and my favorite, Splinterlands, a card game that not only serve for collection and have some function, but serve as soldiers or warriors in our battles, this game has me in love despite its semi-automatic mechanics.
There are several editions of cards, these have been increasing since its release, currently you can not only use the cards to send them into battle, but can also be used to work in the lands, that's right, Splinterlands some time ago released the so-called Lands and these can generate resources depending on the type, this option of the game has spaces to place cards that are dedicated to work and produce resources, the higher level has the card, the greater the rarity and if it is gold foil then it would be better production, you can also add totems and titles. As I said, it is not only about collecting cards but they have their respective functions that go beyond the battle.
Mi historia con Splinterlands empezó mal, realmente odiaba este juego, bien dicen que del amor al odio hay solo un paso, es que no entendía como colocar mis cartas, las posiciones, el orden de ataque, eran tantas cosas a tener en cuenta que lo veía muy complicado, así que abandoné el juego. Al pasar algunos meses lo volví a intentar porque vi a un colega bastante lento en el aprendizaje que estaba jugando y estaba consiguiendo buena rentabilidad, así que me dije, si él puede entonces yo puedo mucho más, le pondré empeño en aprender, y así fue como regresé colocando más atención, aunque igual odiaba el juego, lo odiaba mucho más porque no ganaba una partida.

My story with Splinterlands started badly, I really hated this game, well they say that from love to hate there is only one step, I did not understand how to place my cards, the positions, the order of attack, there were so many things to take into account that I saw it very complicated, so I abandoned the game. After a few months I tried it again because I saw a colleague who was quite slow in learning the game and he was getting good profitability, so I said to myself, if he can do it then I can do it much more, I will put effort in learning, and that is how I came back paying more attention, although I still hated the game, I hated it much more because I did not win a game.
Después de un mes de práctica ya estaba escalando en la liga y me sentía más seguro, el amor surgió cuando conocí a otros colegas en las diferentes comunidades y nos dedicábamos a hablar sobre estrategias de batallas, además de eso pelear de forma amistosa y compartir contenido en Hive, bueno todo esto lo seguimos haciendo. Ser parte de una comunidad de jugadores y que cada semana nos reunimos para encontrarnos a platicar sobre este juego en específico ha creado una especie de amor al juego que no se apaga a pesar de algunos cambios no tan acertados llevados a cabo por el equipo oficial.
Recientemente este juego ha cumplido 6 años y me parece increíble que a pesar de tantos cambios en el mundo Blockchain este proyecto sigue activo y con una base de jugadores gigantesca. Realmente espero que dure muchos años más y podamos seguir disfrutando de el mejor juego de cartas NFT que existe.

After a month of practice I was already climbing in the league and I felt more confident, the love came when I met other colleagues in different communities and we dedicated ourselves to talk about battle strategies, besides that fight in a friendly way and share content in Hive, well all this we continue to do. Being part of a community of players and that every week we meet to talk about this specific game has created a kind of love for the game that is not extinguished despite some not so successful changes made by the official team.
Recently this game has turned 6 years old and I find it amazing that despite so many changes in the Blockchain world this project is still active and with a gigantic player base. I really hope it lasts many more years and we can continue to enjoy the best NFT card game out there.
Este juego de cartas es complicado en un principio porque es necesario entender el orden de ataque y las posiciones para poder elegir, luego también hay que aprenderse las diferentes habilidades y reglas de batallas, entendiendo que hay un coste de mana o energía que se puede utilizar. Una vez entendido todo esto solo resta elegir bien las cartas y de forma automática la batalla se estará ejecutando. Es como elegir un escuadrón o grupo de batalla, enviarlos al frente y esperar el resultado. A muchas personas no les gusta esta parte del juego, quisieran una batalla más inmersiva, pero por otro lado puedes ahorrar tiempo saltando el resultado, como todo en la vida tiene sus ventajas y desventajas.
A pesar de sus 6 años en actividad hay muchos que aun no le entran al proyecto, si tienes alguna duda no dudes en escribirme, tenemos una comunidad activa de jugadores de Splinterlands muy amigables, atentos y prestos para ayudar a los nuevos jugadores. It is like choosing a squad or battle group, send them to the front and wait for the result. Many people do not like this part of the game, they would like a more immersive battle, but on the other hand you can save time by skipping the result, as everything in life has its advantages and disadvantages.
