Greetings community, today I decided to give my opinion regarding the health sector in my country Venezuela. I would like to tell you that in recent years I have observed that it has been declining, unlike previous years...
I am talking about when I was a child and adolescent, my father and mother would take me to the hospital and the doctor would take care of me with affection. They would look me in the face and establish a communication with me, to then perform maneuvers if necessary and proceed to the diagnosis, that happens very little nowadays.
Now that I am a mother, I realize the changes in the health system, I go for an emergency and they have made me wait a long time. The rules of courtesy go unnoticed, you leave the place with more questions than when you entered.
The care provided to citizens at health centers is not optimal, despite the fact that medical care is free of charge. The patient's life may be at risk, since the patient's own family members sometimes do not have the means to perform laboratory tests or provide medicines.
But this is due, in my opinion, to the lack of medical supplies in hospitals and outpatient clinics; to this is added the lack of medical equipment and ambulances to transport patients and infrastructure that is not suitable for the demand of the population. Another aspect that I believe is affecting the health sector personnel is that they do not receive decent salaries, and there are vacancies in the hospitals because they have left the country.
Due to this deficiency, there are missing specialties, causing irritability in the population. Most of the people do not have the money to pay for a consultation in the private health sector, which ranges between $60 approximately, and this further compromises the patient's life.
Without going too far, I have lived it with my loved ones, my father is an educator and before he had a medical insurance that covered operations in private clinics. Now he needs to have both eyes operated on and he can't because the insurance does not cover the operation, and even through the public health system he has not been able to have the operation.
I think the health care situation would improve if the national government would increase the salaries of health care professionals.
professionals. By supplying medical supplies to the public health system, many patients will be able to help themselves because they do not have the financial resources to heal completely.
Providing hospitals with the necessary medical equipment and ambulances would alleviate the problem. By building new hospitals nationwide, the health institutions would not be saturated with people, they would stay in their states to be treated.
The realization of awareness workshops for medical students and health personnel working in the facilities of health centers, I believe it is essential for them to have human sensitivity, since patients deserve to be treated with respect and solidarity.
In this way, medical care in my country would give a 360 degree turn in the welfare of the population, it would have quality care.

La atención médica de mi país va en descenso.
Saludos comunidad, hoy decidí dar mi opinión en relación a el sector salud de mi país Venezuela. Les comento que de unos años para acá he observado que va en descenso, a diferencia de años anteriores…
Les hablo de cuándo, yo era niña y adolescente, mi papá y mamá, me llevaban al hospital y el doctor o doctora me atendían con cariño. Me miraban a la cara y establecían una comunicación conmigo, para luego realizar maniobras si fuese el caso y proceder al diagnóstico, eso sucede muy poco en la actualidad.
Ahora que soy madre, me doy cuenta de los cambios en el sistema de salud, voy por una emergencia y me han hecho esperar bastante. Las normas de cortesía pasan desapercibidas, sales del lugar con más interrogantes de cuando entraste.
No es óptima la atención que se brinda a los ciudadanos dentro de los centros de salud, a pesar de que la atención médica es gratuita. La vida del paciente puede estar en riesgo, ya que el propio familiar del paciente a veces no tienen para realizar exámenes de laboratorio ni suministrarle las medicinas.
Pero esto se debe, según mi criterio, a que faltan insumos médicos en los hospitales y ambulatorios; a eso se le añade carencia de equipos médicos y ambulancias para trasladar a los pacientes e infraestructura no apta para la demanda de la población. Otro aspecto que creó que está afectando es que el personal del sector salud no reciben salarios dignos, y hay vacantes dentro de los hospitales, porque se han ido del país.
Debido a esa deficiencia, existen especialidades que faltan, ocasionando irritabilidad en la población. Gran parte de las personas, no cuentan con dinero para pagar una consulta en el sector privado de salud, que oscila entre los 60 $ aproximadamente, y esto compromete aún más la vida del paciente.
Sin ir muy lejos, lo he vivido con mis seres queridos, mi papá es educador y antes contaba con un seguro médico que cubría para operaciones en clínicas privadas. Ahora necesita operarse los dos ojos y no puede, porque el seguro no cubre la operación, y aun por el sistema público de salud no ha podido operarse.
Pienso que la situación de la atención médica mejoraría si el gobierno nacional les aumenta el salario a los profesionales
de la salud. Abasteciendo de insumos médicos al sistema de salud público, muchas pacientes podrán ayudarse porque no cuentan con recursos económicos para sanar completamente.
Con la dotación de equipos médicos y ambulancias necesarios en los hospitales, se aliviaría la problemática. Construyendo nuevos hospitales a nivel nacional, no se saturarían de personas las instituciones de salud,se quedarían en sus estados para ser atendidos.
La realización de talleres de concientización para los estudiantes de medicina y el personal de salud que trabaja en las instalaciones de los centros de salud, considero que es fundamental para que tengan sensibilidad humana, ya que los pacientes merecen ser tratados con respeto y solidaridad.
De esta manera, la atención médica en mi país daría un giro de 360 grados en el bienestar de la población, tendría una atención de calidad.
