A gray-haired old man with a wrinkled face, preserving the wisdom of his years, sat on the bank of the river, watching its calm flow. The grandson, a young man with clear eyes full of thirst for knowledge, sat next to him, thoughtfully looking at the water.

“Grandpa, do you know when a person gets old?” he said, and his voice was full of sincere curiosity.

The old man smiled without taking his eyes off the river. “A person gets old,” he said, “when he stops learning. Life, like this river, never stands still. It is constantly changing, bubbling, shimmering and conceals new lessons in every bend. If you go with the flow like a boat, absorbing new knowledge, you will be young for a long time.”

The young man frowned, reflecting on his grandfather’s words. “So you need to study all your life?” he asked, peering at the reflection of the sun in the water.

“Yes,” the old man replied, “every day means new discoveries, new knowledge, new horizons! It doesn’t matter how old you are, the main thing is to remain curious and willing to comprehend the world. A person who does not study deprives himself of the opportunity to move forward, open new horizons and live a full life!”
