Tengo Rangers are back for hivefpl and Fantasy Premier League

It's back baby ....

Well it has in Scotland for a week already ... but in England the Premier League has just kicked off...

I am also way late with this post, as I had intended telling you all how to join not only the Fantasy Premier League but also the hive fantasy premier leagues.

I did participate last year and it was a fluffing disaster.

This year I am determined to actually play responsibly!!!

So the name is the same, and the manager is the same... how the fluff he avoided getting the sack I really have no idea...

Bribery must be the answer!

Okay so I ran out of time, but I did get a squad assembled and entered ...

Tengo's squad of 15

The big news .... I have Haaland AND Salah

Spoiler alert if ever there was one!

Okay let's look at it...

There you go Haaland and Salah ...

Goalies..

Took a punt with this ... and a tactic I picked up.
Both my goalkeepers are from Brentford.
Mark Flekken was their number 1 season and scored 119 points... Decent enough, and if for any reason he did not play I have his deputy Hákon Valdimarsson
They are a combined £8.5 million cost....

Defenders ...

My marquee signing is William Saliba of Arsenal at £6 million. He had a cracking season last year, let's hope he does the same this year.
Joachim Andersen of Crystal Palace I like and had for most of last season, at £4.5 million a good solid buy.
James Tarkowski of Everton is a regular for Everton and at £5 million I reckon another good deal, I fancy Everton to be safely mid table this season.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis of Southampton is a steal for £4 million as he is starter and I don't think Southampton will be as bad as when they were relegated.
Yerson Mosquera is a newcomer to Wolves and is my other budget defender at £4 million

Midfielders

Emile Smith Rowe has swapped Arsenal to be a starter with Fulham, he has scoring in him so a good solid deal at $5.5 million
Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace actually scored less points last season than the season before but again a no brainer for me at £7 million.
Mohamed Salah of Liverpool needs no introduction!
Bruno Borges Fernandes of Man Utd is someone I thought would take fpl by storm when he moved from Portugal. I reckon stability at Man Utd will benefit him!
Mario Lemina of Wolves was an ever present in the Wolves team last year. A good standby player!

Forwards

Rodrigo Muniz Carvalho of Fulham at £6 million is my budget forward but I expect points from him too...
Erling Haaland of Man City even at £15 million he is a no brainer!
Alexander Isak of Newcastle feed him the ball and he will score goals. At home I may well be picking him as Captain a few times!

Game Week 1 team

As I write this, the season has kicked off with Man United hosting Fulham.
I have three players involved and it is scoreless after 60 minutes!

Ah well the only way is up!!

Stats and league positions etc will follow next week!

What do you think of my team?

It's so good to hear about the tengo rangers after so long

hehe it seems like forever, was tempted to call it the Royal Honeys

Lol, way to go boss boss 😂

Bribery must be the answer!

Hahahahaha... MadBro, that's the second name of the game called "Soccer" or was it "sucker". Oh, let's call it "Football" and since the President of FIFA is a swiss, we do not really wonder, don't we! 😎😁

hehe yes bribery is rife ... and Swiss hehe madbro .. no comment to that!

😁

You have got a really nice team and judging from today's performance from Manchester United and Fulham, I believe this season won't come easy for any team.

Bruno could have earned you a good point if he had converted those chances and Smith Rowe, he looks promising if he doesn't get injured too soon. I believe you will be making a few changes after the first week, it's best to have a few starters on the bench as well just in case.

Bruno should be scoring way more than he does. As for Smith Rowe if he stays injury free he is a cheap scoring midfielder, I am sure I will keep him until he is injured.

Yes this is the first week but wanted to get the main players in there and then tinker from week to week..

It will be interesting with the new rules ...
