It's the day after Christmas and I decided to go for a hike in Half Moon Bay California. The trail I hiked is called the Sequoia Audobon Trail. It's a short two mile hike. Along the trail you can see the ocean, beaches, bushy scrubs, flowers, and rocky cliffs. I love the view of the Pacific ocean in this part. There are very few locations that match the beauty along Highway 1 in California.
The path leads to the edge of the world.
Ice plants grow along the cliffs in Half Moon Bay.
I was a few miles south of Pillar Point Harbor and Mavericks, the big wave surfing destination. This time of year waves reach over 20 feet.
"It is an ancient Mariner,
And he stoppeth one of three.
'By thy long grey beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stopp'st thou me?" - Samuel Taylor Coleredge
