Some people are barely moving, and living a sedentary lifestyle. I knew someone who's been in his room the entire day. It's either he's sitting down at the front of his computer. Or even lying down with his phone. He only gets up when he needs to go to the bathroom.
Now, he's suffering from depression. Yes, barely moving is not good for mental health. That's why it is important to get up, and move. Do some exercises, that way, you're helping your own health and body to combat diseases.
It's good to also consider other people by reminding them. My wife often reminds me when I've been sitting for longer periods.
