Hola mis queridos lectores, un saludo cordial para todos ustedes, espero que tengan o hayan tenido un excelente día. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia que tuve la primera vez que viaje en avión, a pesar de que fue hace unos cuantos años atrás, son momentos que no se olvidan.
Para ese entonces trabajaba para una empresa de seguro de vehículos, la cual daba vacaciones colectivas a fin de año, la empresa tenía una sede principal en la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo en Venezuela, y yo trabajaba en una de sus sucursales en la ciudad de Barcelona. En esa oficina solo éramos 3 personas, la gerente, una analista y yo que también era analista.
Hello my dear readers, a cordial greeting to all of you, I hope you have or have had an excellent day. Today I want to share with you my experience I had the first time I traveled by plane, even though it was a few years ago, they are moments that you will never forget.
At that time I was working for a vehicle insurance company, which gave collective vacations at the end of the year, the company had a main office in the city of Valencia, Carabobo state in Venezuela, and I worked in one of its branches in the city of Barcelona. In that office there were only 3 of us, the manager, an analyst and myself, who was also an analyst.
Cada final de año realizaba una fiesta para todos sus trabajadores, a fin de celebrar el inicio de las vacaciones y el finalizar del año. De todas las sucursales a nivel nacional, incluyendo la sede principal, se escogía una para hacer la fiesta, ese año le toco a la sede principal, por lo tanto, la empresa le pagaba el pasaje de ida y vuelta a la ciudad de Valencia a todos los trabajadores de cada sucursal. Como las demás sucursales quedaban a solo 2 horas de distancia de la sede principal, les pagaron el pasaje en autobús, pero de Barcelona a Valencia en autobús, se tarda 7 horas o más, así que nos pagaron el pasaje en avión.
At the end of each year, the company held a party for all its employees to celebrate the beginning of the vacations and the end of the year. Of all the branches nationwide, including the main office, one was chosen for the party, this year it was the main office, therefore, the company paid the round trip ticket to the city of Valencia to all the workers of each branch. As the other branches were only 2 hours away from the main office, they paid the bus fare, but from Barcelona to Valencia by bus, it takes 7 hours or more, so they paid us the plane fare.
Nunca había viajado en avión y los nervios los tenía a mil, son tantas historias que se te cruzan por la mente de todas las veces que algunos viajes no salen bien. Tampoco sufría de claustrofobia, a pesar de que aún no me había subido al avión ya empezaba a saber lo que se sentía, me preguntaba: ¿Y si no hay mucho espacio dentro del avión?, ya me sentía como apretada, sentía que me faltaba el aire. Pero luego me puse a pensar, que todo es producto de mi imaginación, trate de dejar de pensar en todo lo malo y empece a hablar con mi compañera de trabajo que iba conmigo, a relajarme y lo cierto es que entre el miedo y la adrenalina que tenía de saber que se siente viajar en avión, pues me anime a montarme.
I had never traveled by plane before and I was very nervous, there are so many stories that cross your mind of all the times that some trips do not go well. I didn't suffer from claustrophobia either, even though I had not yet boarded the plane I was already beginning to know what it felt like, I wondered: What if there is not much space inside the plane, I already felt like I was cramped, I felt that I was short of breath. But then I started to think that everything is a product of my imagination, I tried to stop thinking about all the bad things and I started to talk to my co-worker who was going with me, to relax and the truth is that between the fear and the adrenaline that I had to know what it feels like to travel by plane, I was encouraged to get on.
Les cuento que tuve que ir desde las 6:30 am al aeropuerto y esperar hasta más de una hora antes de partir y el viaje en avión duro solo 45 minutos, nada más, tanta angustia que pase antes de eso, para durar tan poco en el viaje. Supere mi miedo a volar, la verdad es que no es nada del otro mundo como lo hacen ver otra persona, pero es mi opinión, sé que el que le tiene miedo a volar, ni que le digan lo que le digan, va a cambiar de parecer.
Me toco sentarme a un puesto de la ventanilla, por lo que no pude disfrutar de la vista, pues el señor que estaba al lado de la ventana 😒, cerro la cortina para dormir un rato, no podía tomar fotos, que era lo que más quería. 😢
Una vez que llegamos a la ciudad de Valencia, antes de irnos al parque donde iba a hacer la fiesta, pasamos por la casa de la hermana de mi jefa que vivía allá, nos cambiamos de ropa, pues era una fiesta temática y teníamos que vestir de vaqueros.
I tell you that I had to go from 6:30 am to the airport and wait for more than an hour before leaving and the plane ride lasted only 45 minutes, nothing more, so much anguish I spent before that, to last so little on the trip. I overcame my fear of flying, the truth is that it is not as big a deal as other people make it seem, but it is my opinion, I know that if you are afraid of flying, no matter what anyone tells you, you are not going to change your mind.
I had to sit at a window seat, so I could not enjoy the view, because the man who was next to the window 😒, closed the curtain to sleep for a while, I could not take pictures, which was what I wanted most. 😢
Once we arrived in the city of Valencia, before going to the park where the party was going to be held, we passed by the house of my boss's sister who lived there, we changed clothes, because it was a theme party and we had to dress as cowboys.
El lugar de la fiesta es un parque situado en la parte noroccidental de la Cuenca del Lago de Valencia, en el municipio de San Diego, se llama Isla La Cumaca, es un parque privado, por lo tanto, solo comprando entradas puedes acceder al parque.
The place of the party is a park located in the northwestern part of the Valencia Lake Basin, in the municipality of San Diego, it is called Isla La Cumaca, it is a private park, therefore, only by buying tickets you can access the park.
Una vez en la fiesta, el lugar era espectacular, había un salón donde estaba la recepción de la fiesta, todos los trabajadores bailaron, comieron, había música en vivo, fue un día maravilloso.
Once at the party, the place was spectacular, there was a hall where the party reception was, all the workers danced, ate, there was live music, it was a wonderful day.
Este señor estuvo toda la fiesta pintando retratos cómicos de cada quien; sin embargo, yo no pude obtener el mío, no le dio tiempo, fueron pocos los que se quedaron sin retratos.
This gentleman spent the whole party painting comic portraits of everyone; however, I could not get mine, he did not have time, there were few who were left without portraits.
El parque tiene una gran extensión de lugares donde se puede apreciar zonas de entretenimientos como piscinas, toboganes, zoológico, entre otros lugares. Nosotros teníamos acceso a recorrer ciertas partes del sitio y son los que les estoy mostrando aquí.
The park has a large extension of places where you can see entertainment areas such as pools, slides, zoo, among other places. We had access to visit certain parts of the site and these are the ones I am showing you here.
Tuve la suerte de que este ejemplar pavo real, se luciera frente a la cámara, con su espectacular belleza, enseñando su grande cola muy extendida, lamentablemente la malla del lugar no dejo que se viera bien.
Esta ave también se le llama pavo real de pecho azul, solo los machos extienden sus colas de esa manera. Las hembras tienen el cuello verde y la cara blanca.
I was lucky that this peacock was able to show off in front of the camera, with its spectacular beauty, showing its large and very extended tail, unfortunately the mesh of the place did not allow it to be seen well.
This bird is also called blue-breasted peacock, only the males spread their tails that way. Females have a green neck and white face.

La verdad es que la pase muy bien, conocí gente nueva, conocí en persona a quienes solo trataba por teléfono y lo mejor de todo es que perdí el miedo a volar en avión, la verdad es que no es tan malo como alguno los cuenta, fue una experiencia nueva y me alegra haberla vivido.
Ya de regreso a mi casa, si pude estar del lado de la ventanilla del avión, lo único malo fue que había mucha nubosidad y no tenía buena vista, esto fue lo que logre captar.
The truth is that I had a great time, I met new people, I met in person people I only knew by phone and the best of all is that I lost my fear of flying in an airplane, the truth is that it is not as bad as some people say, it was a new experience and I'm glad I lived it.
On the way back home, I was able to be on the side of the plane window, the only bad thing was that there was a lot of cloud cover and I did not have a good view, this is what I managed to capture.
