La Feria Internacional del libro de Venezuela volvió a nuestra ciudad. Esta vez, las adyacencias de la iglesia Santa Inés sirvieron de escenario, en las escalinatas estaban las letras que identificaban el evento y en las rejas la pancarta central donde se rendía tributo a María Rodríguez, una cantautora y bailarina de reconocida trayectoria, ícono de nuestro folclore y representante fiel de la identidad y tradiciones de este pueblo.

This time, the Santa Inés church served as a stage, on the steps were the letters that identified the event and on the railings the central banner where a tribute was paid to María Rodríguez, a singer-songwriter and dancer of renowned trajectory, icon of our folklore and faithful representative of the identity and traditions of this people.
19ª edición
Esta sería la edición 19ª y comenzó a instalarse desde el primero de este mes en todo el territorio nacional, a nuestro estado llegó el 22 y estuvo hasta el 24. El objetivo ha sido sólido: promover la lectura desde la infancia para formar asiduos lectores. También se busca conectar con el arte en toda su dimensión, por ello hubo muestras de pinturas, artesanías, además, de actividades musicales y obras teatrales. La cultura del país se vive a través de la FILVEN.

Libros infantiles
En esta oportunidad, los libros infantiles capturaron mi atención, eran hermosos, con un excelente acabado, con piezas plegables y muy coloridos. Quería comprarlos todos para llevárselos a Baby Bee, ella ya fija la atención y seguro que estas obras serán de su agrado. Incluso había una edición de Harry Potter bellísima, una para coleccionar, bordes en relieves, ilustraciones en páginas adicionales y una encuadernación gruesa de lujo. También me topé con los cuentos La Sirenita y El principito, los cuales me trasladaron a mi infancia, gratos recuerdos que compartiré con mi pequeña muy pronto.
Children's books
This time, the children's books caught my attention, they were beautiful, with an excellent finish, with folding pieces and very colorful. I wanted to buy them all to take them to Baby Bee, she already has her attention fixed and I'm sure she will like these books. There was even a beautiful Harry Potter edition, a collector's edition, with embossed edges, illustrations on extra pages and a thick deluxe binding. I also came across The Little Mermaid and The Little Prince, which took me back to my childhood, fond memories that I will share with my little girl very soon.

Un aspecto interesante es que hubo una amplia oferta editorial, aún cuando eran pocos toldos en comparación con la feria que se realizó en la Plaza Bolívar en 2023. Pude revisar títulos nacionales e internacionales. Cuando asistimos a un evento como este siempre queremos actualizar nuestra biblioteca personal. Es que el contacto con el ejemplar impreso tiene un encanto especial, invita a una lectura placentera.

An interesting aspect is that there was a wide publishing offer, even though there were few awnings compared to the fair held at Plaza Bolivar in 2023. I was able to review national and international titles. When we attend an event like this we always want to update our personal library. The contact with the printed copy has a special charm, it invites to a pleasant reading.

Eventos culturales de esta naturaleza necesitan mayor difusión, de modo, que la mayoría de los habitantes puedan disfrutarlos mientras adquieren nuevos conocimientos. La feria es un lugar idóneo para el encuentro y compartir familiar. Los niños tienen protagonismo en cuanto muchas actividades tienen fines didácticos, fomentar la lectura desde temprana edad debe ser una tarea conjunta.
