Health! Can you improve it? Here are three (3) things I will do this new year in order to improve my health from a now condition to a better condition.
I am grate ful to @med-hive for making this week's discussion so special. Health is a state of a body to be free from anything that causes it harm e.g illness, etc. And to keep my body this way, I need to do something.
I have been doing my best to;
- Eat good food
- Exercise
- Drink much water
- Avoid much stress
- Get prescribed medication
And a hole lot of things..., even at that, some things are still lacking.
Former lifestyle and unhealthy habits I wish to change
I have this habit of watching movie and playing games at night. This disrupts my sleep and makes me tired in the morning. Firstly, it's not a good healthy living lifestyle and secondly, it's bad for the health of a teenager (youths).
I also eat late and go to sleep almost immediately. This is very bad for the Health of anybody. Doctors prescription is that, 'a person eats and wait 3 hours before going to bed.' Although it's very hard to follow, but it's the best.
Here is a tip: Eat early and lite meals; enjoy your night rest.
This habit causes indigestion of food, stomach upset and eventual constipation/stooling. Nobody wants that.
"No need for drugs when you feel you are okay." This is a very bad lifestyle that rubs us of our health and money. Yes! Money. When you don't follow the doctors prescription and complete your dosage simply because you feel you are okay, this happens. The illness comes back early enough, lurking around you and making you spend money over again. Avoid this!
It has happened to many. It's happening to other people doesn't mean it won't happen to you because it has happened to me as well.
It's one habit and lifestyle I want to unlearn this soon to come year. Please, it has killed many people. I am trying my best to unlearn, avoid and do away with this behaviour.
Having known these things, I then came to agree within myself to stop them, and by doing so, some sacrifices and challenges must be faced. This is what I am resolved to do this new year .
Three Resolutions To Help Fix my health
1. Stop keeping up late at night:
- Some of us keep up late at night because of work and taking care of home, but for me, it's a habit. To stop that, I am going to set a self timer not with an alarm but with myself to know when I need to sleep and get enough rest so as not to stress my brain and body.
2. Stop eating late and heavy meals at night:
- I will start eating on time and avoid eating too much so as not to damage my colon system and cause detrimental health problem to myself.
3. Take complete dosage anytime I feel sick:
- Since my mom is my best Doctor, I am determined to follow her prescription and avoid throwing the remaining drugs into 'who knows where' again, as this will help save money and health.
These 3 resolutions above are what I am resolved to do to improve my health from the way it used to be, to a better and healthier life.
