As others navigate through the growls of the bear and the ice of the crypto winter, we on HIVE have been fortunate to stay ahead of it by showing up everyday, creating content, contributing as a community and benefiting from the amazing development and use cases that folks have put into this blockchain.
I'm still getting my head wrapped around a lot of this stuff and I've only been a member on HIVE since August 2022, but a true HIVER since February 2022.
What I mean by a true HIVER is that I'm just not a member, I've actually been active since February 2022 - without missing a day.
Now, there are others who blow me away and have been on HIVE making their huge positive dents on the blockchain and a solid core of folks who have made sure that this ecosystem continues to grow the right way.
I don't bring that much to the table to say I'm behind the upward trajectory of this blockchain.
Now, I'm not going to sell myself short and not be proud of what I do and it's unique to me without any bells and whistles. You get what you get with me, but when I'm all in on something - you will get my very best with whatever time I put into it.
If we are going to tout the community aspect of an ecosystem like HIVE then you have to make room for all kinds of folks. Some of us may not bring the impact as an individual, but as a community we can make an impact as a whole.
So whatever you do that is positive for the community and this ecosystem you are a contributor.
You show up, you engage, you create and you invest. You invest time and in some cases you come onboard and get a head start with your own fiat to by some tokens.
But what is amazing about HIVE is that - at least for now - you can come onboard and pretty much start with very little and grow your brand, build a business, create content that makes you feel good and helps you engage with people that have the same things in common with you and dozens if not hundreds of other ways to earn and grow on this blockchain.
I try to soak up as much as possible on HIVE and let me tell you that is a very tall order. The abundance of information is insane. So many intelligent people. Amazing content creators. So much talent. It's just so much. It's a treasure trove of all that good stuff.
Now, it does baffle me a bit when people complain about shit that doesn't make sense to me; because unless you put in a ton of your hard earned money and had unrealistic expectations. That is pretty much on you?
I may be 1000% incorrect, but it's very hard for me to believe that most of us came to HIVE and plunked down their life savings to begin their journey on this blockchain.
It doesn't matter what part of the world you are from. Again, very hard for me to believe that most of us on HIVE came here and just emptied our bank accounts, off chain investments, pockets, purses, and wallets to be here.
I'm sure a handful of us put in a chunk once they were here a bit, got the lay of the land and said fuck it; let me plunk down a few hundreds or thousands. Nothing wrong with that.
But overall, down to the nitty gritty and coming from just regular old me:
no one or nothing owes us anything on HIVE.
We can earn a nice amount, some more than others and if you came with very little, you have to be more on the lucky side of things that you were introduced to HIVE opposed to feeling like you are entitled to anything.
That mentality is like the one I've seen in company's I've worked for where the kid with a degree comes in, works a few weeks and for some insane reason believe they deserve a raise or promotion.
Yes, you invest fiat and time to be on HIVE and yes, we do it because we want to earn something and there are those who have bigger expectations than others. That's fine. If you can bust your ass enough and make the right decisions to earn more - hey, bless you. I'll be rooting for you.
Of course, there are situations that we may invest in something that does cost us a payment for a boost or promote option in one of the front ends like Ecency and you pay and that is handled accordingly. You pay for the service.
But, most of what we do on this blockchain, there is a lot of risk involved and that's the reality of it. We are dealing with markets in one form or another. Dude, we are on risk mode.
It's hard for me to equate Risk with being Owed anything.
I can clearly see as a community, the risk we took to be here, has a way better chance of helping us earn something, if we stop believing we are owed anything.
Let's Gooooooooooooooooo!!!
