Welcome home, Reba - Our newest Hive cat!

Hey everyone, it's @threesteps.

Recently a "familiar" cat was abandoned here at my house. The owner hasn't spoken to me in days.

I contacted the Logan County Humane Society and determined the steps to make the her my own.

She's now adopted into her new permanent home...

...here at my house with me! Meet the "newest" kitty in the @hivecats family!

Welcome home, Reba!

She's the beautiful kitty in the middle.

She's MY cat now, so we named her "Reba" - short for Rebound.

After the previous owner left her here I didn't want Reba to go through the trauma of moving, finding new family, acclimating to a new place, etc.

Plus she already belongs with our existing duo of Gender Bender and Itty Bitty.

New Kitty = New Kitty toys!

Here's me with papers, and a new cat collar and toy for her.

I love my animals, every one of them. They can tell that I am their "hooman."

Glad Reba's story gets to continue in a house of warmth and love.

Hi Rob. You are the best for kitties! I admire how caring your are for the new kitty Reba! Thank you for loving animals! I love animals too. I want to have another bird soon :) Someday I would like to help more birds if possible. People don't understand the care they need and how long they live. Have a great day and evening! Hi Rob you are the guardian angel of kitties! Reba is lucking to have you know as her owner! I reblogged your post too. I love all animals but have a special interest in birds because they are so misunderstood. I hope to have another pet bird soon and help a few other birds as well. Didn't know you were a cat-lover. Good for you. Reba looks very much at home!

When I was a boy we always had at least one pet cat, and often more. Two of my favourite cats were "adopted" as well. One was black and white, the other grey and white.
