A straw bale construction traced back to the 19th century, the house has been owned by the municipality of Kölliken in canton of Aargau since 1981 and can been visited inside as a museum since 1987. It shows the way of life of farming family in the 19th and early 20th centuries with old craft techniques and conveys topics from the history of the village.
