En tiempos de abatimiento y angustia, cuando el paisaje pinta fusco y las aguas son turbulentas, podemos pensar en distintos escenarios, incluso cuestionando los resultados posibles o los motivos que hay detrás. Por mi parte, siempre recuerdo cuando Jesús iba en esa barca junto a sus discípulos, momento en el que desató una gran tempestad en el mar.

La reacción de todos en la barca fue de temor y miedo; había angustia en el corazón de todos hasta el punto de olvidar el hecho de que estaban con aquel Hombre que hacía tales milagros frente a sus ojos; pero eso que hicieron ellos es algo que probablemente hubiera hecho yo. En momentos difíciles, cuando los vientos son contrarios y parece que no hay nada a nuestro a favor, es fácil quitar la mirada de Jesús; la figura del problema se convierte en algo notable, visiblemente gigante ante nuestros ojos, y nosotros, pequeños como David, ¿qué podemos hacer? ¿a quién acudimos, a quién llamar en ese momento?

Jesús, cuando despertó en medio de la tormenta y vio a sus discípulos, les dijo palabras como: ¿aún no creéis? Dijo Eso y mandó a callar al viento y al mar; entonces hubo paz, una gran paz envolvió el lugar, así que sus discípulos decían entre ellos: ¿quién es este, que hasta el viento y el mar le obedecen?

Es bueno saludar a todos en el festival, espero que estén bien ustedes y sus familias. “Acuérdate Oh Señor” es un cántico que me gusta mucho, y ese salmo 106:4-5 que acompaña al cantico, es uno de los pocos que he podido memorizar. He said that and ordered the wind and the sea to be silent; then there was peace, a great peace enveloped the place, so his disciples said among themselves: who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
