Problem
In the past few years I've spent a lot of months working from home at different times, and a lot of people who work from home would agree with me when I say there is a certain laziness that falls upon you at different points.
Maybe those who drink a lot of coffee might not relate, but if you're not someone who gets heavily caffeinated you'd relate to this.
Especially if the kind of work you do from home is all about being on your laptop/phones nonstop for hours upon hours.
With time you'll most likely find yourself becoming weaker and weaker, dragging yourself to work most days. Gaining a lot of weight is also a common occurrence too.
With all these you lose libido and vitality, and you wouldn't just know what to do. A lot of people might resort to too much caffeine or any other substance.
Solution
I've come to find out nothing has been more effective and sustainable in keeping the energy levels high like going to the gym.
It beats whatever substance you might want to rely on and it is natural, sustainable, and healthy! So this is most likely the piece you've been missing if you work from home and experience the problems listed above.
Important things you need to note are:
• You don't have to go everyday. Twice or thrice a week is more than perfect for you!
• Workout to build muscles and not just cardio and aerobics. If you're a male you can build every single muscle on your body if you like, if you're a female you should focus on your glutes and leg muscles except you don't mind losing your feminity.
• If you decide to begin today, for example, you might not feel so strong at the gym, and it might feel like torture, but don't worry, that's only because it is new to you. You don't expect to be so comfortable on your first day or first few days, do you?
• After your first day's workout, the next day you might feel the weakest you've ever felt. You would probably start regretting why you went to the gym to destroy your body like this. But don't panic, it's still because it is new to you. Recover from this. Remember you aren't supposed to go everyday. Twice or thrice a week is good enough, you're not a professional bodybuilder.
• After resting from going to the gym for at least 1-4 days, you can go again. Chances are you might still regret the next day due to fatigue. But don't worry. After repeating this about 4 times or so that's when you'll start reaping the benefits.
And the benefits are mind-blowing, I tell you. You'd just find yourself being so strong and explosive. A better feeling than any substance have given you in the past.
You might even start getting addicted to the gym and feeling like you can't wait to go again.
Apart from the magic that working out and building muscles does to the body, there's also the additional benefits of great sleep. A lot of people might have problems sleeping, but if you worked hard and destroyed your body at the gym earlier in the day sleeping becomes a lot easier. Especially when you eat properly after the workout.
Conclusion
Working from home usually leads to a sedentary/lethargic lifestyle. If you work from home going to the gym should almost be compulsory if you care about your health and productivity.
Working out at home might be good but going to the gym would be better because you get to put yourself outdoors rather than always being indoors. You also get to tap into some social energy that is much needed by your gregarious nature as a human being.
Tell someone you know who works from home, you might just be saving a life.
