Greetings and a happy Christmas Eve to all, may the magic and beautiful energy of this day give you happiness, harmony and peace, for you and your loved ones. There are many natural products that can make our lives more pleasant, that can solve daily needs and problems without side effects; and one of them is alum. Alum is basically a mineral, which is characterized by having a relatively large molecular structure, which allows it to remain at the superficial level of the skin and mucous membranes, without being absorbed into deeper layers of the skin, which is why it is ideal as a deodorant. and antiseptic. It has the advantage of not clogging the pores, so the perspiration process continues normally.
Alum has been used throughout the planet since ancient times, because it has great disinfectant, astringent, and antiseptic power. There are cultures that use it to do energy cleansing. They also use it in the treatment of canker sores, skin lesions, vaginitis, tonsillitis, and other skin and mucous membrane infections; however, one of the most widespread uses in terms of personal care is as a deodorant and antiseptic.
It's normal for every human being to perspire and that, with this perspiration, especially that which occurs in the armpit area, bacteria, microbes that cause bad body odors, proliferate, and these microorganisms grow very quickly in humid and dark areas, such as armpits and other skin folds. Hence, many people use industrially manufactured deodorants and antiperspirants, which are not always effective, and can have harmful effects on human health, such as skin irritation, allergies, respiratory and hormonal conditions, even cancer.
Seeing all the disadvantages that come with the use of industrial deodorants and antiperspirants, there is nothing better than opting for a natural alternative, such as alum, either the well-known alum stone, or a solution based on distilled water and alum powder, and this is the one I will present to you today.
This solution is very simple to make, and is VERY EFFECTIVE for the control and/or elimination of smelly sweat. I think it is the most effective I have ever known, but you have to take certain minimum care when preparing it. For 230 ml of powdered alum solution, the following materials are required:
- 20 grams of powdered alum.
- 220 ml of DISTILLED water. It cannot be boiled water, filtered water, or water treated with other chemicals to make it drinkable. It should only be DISTILLED.
Doing it is simple. First of all, it is necessary to have all the materials ready, on a clean work surface.
The DISTILLED water is then poured into a spray bottle that is clean, sterile if possible.
Next, add the alum powder to the distilled water, using a small cone of clean paper, so that all the alum powder enters the bottle or container. Then shake the closed bottle to homogenize the mixture. And it's ready. You can keep it in a place away from direct sunlight.
It is very important that the concentration that I present here is respected, since if more water is added its effectiveness will not be the same. It is also very important to use only DISTILLED WATER, since you are certain that it is not contaminated by microorganisms.
The application method so that the antiseptic and antimicrobial power of alum is more effective is as follows: After washing and drying the armpits or the area that you want to protect well, for example, after bathing; Apply enough alum solution to cover the entire area. Let it dry on the skin, DO NOT dry with a cloth or clothing. You can use a fan or blower to help the solution dry on your skin before putting on your clothes. If you want a greater antiseptic and deodorant effect, before spraying the alum solution, apply an even layer of cold-pressed coconut oil to the armpits or the area to be treated. Coconut oil together with alum generate a very interesting and effective synergy, which prolongs the antiseptic and deodorant power.
Here I end my post today, in which I have shared with you a natural deodorant alternative, super effective and very easy to make. I say goodbye to you, wishing you lots of health and well-being and remember: Not all days are the same and more importantly: Everything you give, everything you do, will inexorably return to you. Hugs and Happy Holidays!
