If you saw the debate between Biden and Trump in 2020, you will remember how disrespectful each candidate was. Both candidates have been criticized for their mental fitness, and Thursday's debate will likely be much more civil to boost both candidate's reputation as mentally competent to serve as POTUS.
Former POTUS Trump was harmed by the 2020 debate. Voters saw the president as unhinged and visibly upset and off kilter when responding to Joe Biden. Both Joe and Trump had their microphones silences, and both candidates became emotional and visibly distressed during the debate. Biden and Trump have little to gain from this upcoming debate, as they are polarizing figures. The best outcome for either candidate is to present themselves as fit to serve based on their ability to maintain their composite in a world that is rapidly becoming more unhinged. One cannot think emotionally and logically at the same time and voters understand that.
Rules have changed for this upcoming debate between Biden and Trump. Both candidates will follow strict protocols and will ha e their microphones muted between questions. The focus during this presidential debate will be decorum and precision of thought.
Trump has changed his tune for Thursday's debate. Much of his following appreciated his brash demeanor, but they want to see evidence of his continued mental acuity. Trump has long criticized Biden's mental condition as an aging g 81-year old, but he is 78. Critics of Trump have called out his increasingly more emotional conduct and Trump has become more civil in his attacks on Biden. Trump will likely play up his emotional stability while questioning his rival's emotional fragility subtly. Americans are keenly aware of our economic and politicial decline and we need a president who will bolster and support our stability. I am looking forward to Thursday's event.
