Hello, foodies of Hive. I hope you all are doing well today.
Today, I want to share a small food adventure I had with this amazing human last week amid this crazy heat where I live.
This was right after our exams had finished and she had some time on her hands before her car arrived. And since we both grew hungry after our exam, I planned to visit this restaurant I had talked to her about earlier. Naturally, she was skeptical about my taste in food as some of her friends asked her not to set her feet there. But, there I was, somehow managed to get her here. She did threaten me to never listen to my suggestion if this place was bad, I agreed with a tincture of doubt and a huge amount of faith in this establishment.
It was none other than the dry burger express in town, Fry Bucket. It had a good customer volume throughout the day, here too you could see couples sitting just across us.
Moreover, their burgers were very expensive. But, every Wednesday they hold an offer of giving their 2 of the best burgers for the price of 1. They were the Fry Bucket Special Burger and Spicy Mustard Burger.
Fortunately, it was a Wednesday and I took this opportunity to bring her here. I have not tried their chicken or rice items and don't think I will as I already have a few restaurants chosen where I get the best. You can see in the distance that a Foodpanda rider arriving at this shop, showing that the craze for this offer has merely begun for the day.
We chatted about our exams for a while she was busy taking pics of me using her Snapchat filters. We talked about the environment of the exam, and how the people were acting focused while some were clueless. I finished the paper within 40 minutes of the exam and she took the whole time. And we matched a few answers before I asked not to discuss the depressing topic as the food arrived.
She gave me the Mustard one since she did not like Mustard. And sure enough, after a few bites into it, she did not complain. But, like I had said to her before... the quality is better than Herfy but lower than BFC. She agreed. She added, "The burger was a bit expensive for the quality of meat in the patty and since we were enjoying it on the offer, it was worth the expense for today only" which I completely agree with. I also do not get any from here other than the offer day. Other than that, it was fabulous. It was overly soggy, the bun was hot and fresh, the lettuce was fresh, the cheese was oozing out, the pickles were sour which she loved, and the patty was perfectly fried.
And after a good meal, we had to get some a soft drink. Unfortunately, she did not like what this place was offering, so we got it from outside.
The next thing she wanted was something sweet. So, we went to the nearest waffle spot, its name is Waffle Time. It was a small shop but the flow of customers was heavy.
And this is where I regretted not trimming my beard a bit. She did have a pic with her eyes open but I chose this one as I found it cuter. She wanted a chocolate waffle which she told me after we ordered... and I got us their red velvet.
It arrived shortly and I was a bit shocked to see how small they reduced the size to... inflation...? Maybe not.
Yet, it tasted good and our stomachs did not ache afterwards. Sadly, this was the end of our journey as her car had arrived by then and it was time to say goodbye.
This adventure lasted for about an hour and 10 minutes and I really enjoyed it. I hope we get to do more of these again, soon.
