Enjoying A Balanced Menu For Mental Health

Mental health, the mind is the driver in the body. If they are healthy, they will bring you happiness that lightens the way you live your life itself.

I'm not a health expert. But I continue to learn to live a healthy lifestyle. I also don't say all my food every day is healthy.

From what I've learned, we will be more easily stressed if we force ourselves to do something that we are not used to, because our brains are trained to be afraid of unsafe zones as a form of protection and self-defense.

We have to do something slowly, until we get used to it. Just like healthy food, with measured portions. It will be very difficult if you are not used to it.

In the past, I was not used to eating balanced portions. Also, I did not prioritize exercise. But thankfully, with me now exercising regularly, I actually enjoy healthy food without feeling forced. Honestly, everything feels delicious.


But, what is the key to consistently enjoying healthy food that often tastes bland

The answer is quite simple. Keep feeding our minds, by eating menus that we like. Note, the menus are not too far from the benchmark of healthy food.

By eating flavorful food that we like, even though it is a little unhealthy, it will keep our mentality happy, and we will be able to consistently maintain the lifestyle that we have implemented.

If our mentality is attacked by unhappiness because our desires for the food we like are not fulfilled, then it can reverse our habits back to the initial unhealthy habits and no longer be motivated to exercise.

In addition to maintaining our mentality, of course we must continue to move so that later the things that enter the body from food do not accumulate in the body and become diseases.


You can see my posts about food. I don't always make healthy food. But I also often explore foods in cafes. The most important thing is not to overdo it, and to balance it with exercise.

Like on weekend mornings, I go to a public field location that is usually used by people for exercise, walking and running.

Every Sunday, my exicircise schedule is walking. After exercising, I bought a bouquet of flowers to put on my desk later.

After that, I bought something healthy for breakfast. I saw a vegetable salad seller, Oh, that's so good.

I bought a general vegetable salad. Besides that, I also bought rice paper salad with various fillings.

Well, enjoy the balance of life even though it can only start from small things. It's not easy to do everything from the beginning to change new habits, but I'm sure you can do it. See you!

Hello @anggreklestari. I feel that your body has a natural craving for sugar and starch. You can balance both by eating a small portion, satisfy your craving, then move on with exercise and plenty of water.

Years ago in my Weight Watchers program, we were taught to eat the food we crave. Don't beat yourself up about it, then move on, vowing to make a better healthier food choice next time. This has worked for me, and I'm sticking with it even after these many years.

Yes, now I can choose the healthier and I am proud because my husband also reduced in size, because we now are not craving much for sugar. We eat natural sugar from sugar, sometimes that's okay to eat cakes but balancing with workout

I will certainly try. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Sugar and starch are my worst enemies. I work diligently at locating other healthy options. One thing I try to reduce is sugary drinks, even diet drinks. I have also cut back on my beloved coffee because I'm too heavy on the creamers.

Doing a workout consistently is a must. I follow instructions from YouTube, then I work out with just dumbbells. On another day I also do cycling. You can choose the exercise that is suitable for your condition as well :)

The menu it's well balanced and I think food it's a little bit related with mental health I suffer from depression and my doctor tell me to avoid some kind of foods and prefere other kinds because a wrong diet can influence on the nervous system.

I think food and mind are intrinsically linked (healthy mind, healthy body). We can't go wrong inlife with this kind of mindset.
