Hello and a very good day to everyone.
Midterms always ruin my days, I lose control over how my usual life functions. Does it happen to you all too? No, I am not as studious as I may sound but I guess you can relate to the LAST MINUTE RUSH, right? Today is a special day and with special occasions comes special food. One of my favorites is Vegetable Biriyani and that is what my elder sister cooked for us when we came to visit her at her place. Many may not consider celebrating International Mother Language Day but I feel honored to speak in my native tongue and that is an occasion to celebrate.
This is a special Vegetable Biriyani that has a touch of potato, peas, and carrots. This is special as it is quite uncommon around my circle of friends and people I spend time with. Even I never heard anyone going outside to have Vegetable Biriyani, so this was special. Also, my elder sister who cooked has achieved 1st rank in Food & Nutrition back in her O-Levels, so this is definitely special for me.
Some interesting facts:
The Vegetable Biriyani didn't smell of raw vegetables
The smell wasn't sweet either. Instead, it had a spicy smell along with the taste of soft small square potatoes melting in the mouth is too watery to recall now.
The salad consisted of onion and tomato, resulting in a perfect juicy side dish. And, we are aware of how lemon is the best combo when it comes to making the main dish juicier.
The eggs were dry too but didn't feel dry because of the use of little sauce and pepper with half-cooked sliced onions, which totally changed the smell and taste of the egg.
The eggs were boiled and also a little fried, which gives it a golden-ish color and the best side-dish for Vegetable Biriyani.
Happy International Mother Language Day Everyone. At the end of any celebration, we do not forget the memory but instead, we store it, thereby its significance lives within us.
Thank you all. I hope you liked it. Please leave your review. Have a good day.
