I hate every day having to think about managing the daily menu strategy. As the most understanding wife, I have to prepare good food for the family, moreover my husband likes to eat so much that his body looks very fat!
My husband and I are very different tastes, I like durian, he is the opposite. He really likes salted fish, I do the opposite. There are several foods that we like together, such as goat curry, beef jerky, rendang and processed foods made from chicken.
For my husband, the most delicious food for him is traditional food. He really likes traditional food, especially traditional food from his village such as anyang chicken, tuk tuk salted fish, lemang, holat and sipirok soup. These are all my husband's favorite foods.
Every day I discuss with him about our food, I'm a typical person who is very bored with food, and most lazy to eat my own food. I don't know why, eating my own food sometimes doesn't taste good.
But today because I have to prepare lunch quickly, I thought of making a simple dish. My brain has an idea to make an anchovy tuk tuk. Because I have a few stocks of anchovies that are few, so instead of buying more and it bothers me a bit, it's better to just use what's available.
By the way, the anchovy that I bought is one of the delicious anchovies. This type of anchovy is a favorite of many people and one of the anchovies that is used as a souvenir if you go to the city of Medan. The price is also very cheap, for 1 kilo of anchovy around 65,000 idr. I bought it at a shop near my house, for 100 grams of anchovy it is priced at 12,000 IDR.

Ingredients for Anchovy Tuk Tuk:
- 100 gr anchovy
- 50 gr red chili
- 6 pcs cayenne pepper
- 7 cloves of shallots
- 1 lime
- Pinch of salt
- The oil for frying
- Hot water
How to Cook Anchovy Tuk Tuk:
- Wash the red chilies, shallots and cayenne pepper. Then flush with hot water and add a little salt. Soak for 1 minute.
- Heat the oil in a wok pan, then fry the anchovies until cooked. Remove and drain the anchovy.
- Dry the red chilies, cayenne pepper and shallots. Grind it using a millstone. You can use a chopper if you don't have a millstone.
- After the chili sauce is perfect, add the anchovies and grind until smooth.
- Squeeze 1 lime and stir until evenly distributed.
- Anchovy Tuk Tuk is ready to serve!

He likes this simple food the most, he can even eat it every day without getting bored! But because I don't really like it, I fried an egg and mixed it with a little soy sauce. This food is very foreign to me, because my mother rarely cooks this. But what I like the most is when I eat my food out, my heart is happy that it floats into space!
