HIVE Afterwork Foodies Linkup in a Japanese Restaurant

in #hive-120586last year

Hello Fellow Food Lovers,
I had the distinct pleasure of having afterwork dinner with two other HIVE foodies at a Japanese Restaurant in the Kansai area of Japan.

The Challenge for you today is to guess the name of the restaurant using any clues you can find in this post. Fortunately we took a few pictures to document the experience so if you've been to Japan, it may be a little bit easier for you.

Based on an online postings, the restaurant is listed as Japanese and Japanese fusion. It is a family style restaurant and whenever we visit, there is a short wait as it is quite popular.

There is a wide selection of food items to choose from and the prices are fairly reasonable.

Do you have a favourite family restaurant?

We ordered three different meal sets. Mine was great and my fellow Hivers enjoyed their meals as well. Can you identify the food items pictured here?

As you can see from the "delicious food* posted here, a good time was had by all. If you are ever in Japan, check out any one of the many family restaurants. You won't be disappointed. Until next time have a great weekend.

The pictures used in this post were taken using my android phone.

Stay connected, stay healthy.

When I think family restaurant in Japan, Royal host comes to mind, but this is something different probably. Shinsaibashi, Namba or Umeda..just guessing?

Those are really good guesses @daveks. Looks like you have some experience of the Osaka area. That's so cool. !ALIVE

Now I'm curious, what is it called @bearmol?

The place we went to is called Ootoya. Do you know it?

No, guess I’ve never heard of it. Are you travelling through Japan or on a working visa or something?

No I'm not @daveks. I live here with my family. How about you? What's your connection to Japan?

I lived in Osaka for about 5 years. We had scooters and drove around quite a bit, so I’ve been to a lot of places in and around the area.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting our post. !ALIVE
