Five(5) yummy meals made with Yams πŸ˜‹πŸ²

Hello ladies, mothers, chefs and hivers, welcome to another episode of cooking with me and I am your host, @blackalbino1 😊.

Firstly, I'll always give honor to @ocd and @foodiesbeehive for being a great community which help me reach out to other hivers and chefs.

So I came up with a menu today of meals made with yams or better still, "food combos with yam" πŸ˜‹.

Diced yam and crushed noodles

As weird as this may seem, this combo goes well with a glass of orange juice.
How to prepare: Dice yams into a pot of boiling water containing noodles seasoning, pepper and a little vegetable oil. Allow to cook for a minute or two on high heat then add crushed noodles. Cover, allow to cook then serve when it's done.

Fried yams and just any dipping sauce of choice

This simple and quick meal sometimes could get crunchy as you go and you know just how good crunchy foods taste.
How to prepare: Place a frying pan on heat with just enough quantity of oil to fry. Cut out some yams in flat chip-like shapes/size. Wash, salt a little then fry till yam's crispy and a little brown. Serve with any dipping of your choice.

Boiled yam and chicken soup

Actually, you can switch up the soup to any of your faves; I like having most of carbs with a corresponding protein source.
How to prepare: Cut some yam into sizable dices and boil till its done. Serve with prepared soup, just how you like it.

Mac and yam

The famous mac and cheese, I switched it up with yams instead, lol and I got an even tastier version of macaroni goodness.
How to prepare: Cut and wash some diced yam into a pot of boiling water containing; pepper, seasoning cubes, salt and a little quantity of palm oil or any leftover tomato sauce. Allow to cook for some time then add macaroni. Cover, allow to cook till its done and serve.

Yam porridge

One time my big sister's bestie visited and she made this amazing, mouth watering porridge. I was forced to ask her for the recipe after having my own feel of the foodie goodness. Surprisingly, making this was a breeze, lol.
How to prepare: Place a pot of controllable quantity of water on heat. Add some seasoning cubes, salt, cleaned roasted fish, shredded onions, pepper and some palm oil. Cut yam, wash and add into the pot of boiling ingredients. Allow to cook for some time till the yams are tender then dice them some more inside the cooking pot while it's still on the fire. Add a ladle spoonful of water, cover on medium heat for a min. Stir and serve.

Reminder: Always wash your utensils and your hands before and after cooking
