This is my favorite breakfast that is done in just a few minutes. I usually use different ingredients inside but most important ingredients are rolled oats, plant based milk, fruits, vegetables herbs and seeds or nuts.
Ingredients for oatmeal:
- 100 g of rolled oats
- 50 g of coconut shreds
- 400 ml of rice milk
- ¼ teaspoon of sea salt
Ingredients for the smoothie:
2 ripe bananas
1 apple
1 small beetroot
2 tablespoons of raisins
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds
1 tablespoon of thyme
3 dl of water
calendula flower for decoration
Preparation:
- Place the rice milk in a small pot or a saucepan and bring it to the boil.
- Add sea salt, rolled oats and coconut shreds. Simmer at very low heat for 5 minutes. Cover with the lid and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Place peel and cut bananas, apple and beetroot into smaller pieces. Place in a blender and add raisins, thyme, flaxseeds and water.
Blend it for about 2 minutes.
- Mix the oatmeal with the smoothie.
Decorate it with calendula flower.
