Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough from Cookie Dough Bliss

in #hive-1205868 months ago

Many of us have fond memories of sneaking cookie dough as kids. I was always told not to do it because you could get sick. I never did but I'm sure there were some who did get food poisoning.

To solve this problem, Cookie Dough Bliss stepped up to provide safe to eat cookie dough! Apparently, the flour is heat treated and the eggs are pasteurized, which kills off the bacteria that can give you food poisoning. (Source)

My wife added this as one of those DoorDash addons from nearby stores when she was ordering dinner for herself. I wasn't going to turn down cookie dough!

The serving in the picture above is two scoops of their chocolate chip cookie dough. The dough is sweet and tastes great. It was super rich for me, so I only ate half and put the rest in the freezer.

When I pulled it out the next day it tasted just as good. I think I preferred it coming out of the freezer, since it made it a little more like ice cream.

They have 12 different flavors to choose from and let you buy variety packs. While they're expensive, they seem like the most ideal way to sample different flavors if you had a group of people willing to all contribute.

If your inner child is nagging you for some cookie dough, check to see if there's a location near you and relive those childhood memories! 😉

That actually looks really good and I could do with some ice cream!

Excellent post and have a great day!

Thanks! I was tempted to get some ice cream to go with it! It's way better than the cheap stuff you get in cookie dough ice cream.

Thanks! You have a great day, too! 😁

Oh wow I kind of thought that was cookie dough ice cream. Lol well by all means enjoy!

Personally I thought it was just the eggs that were the risky part of cookie dough. Not that I really cared because I would snack on it anyway.

Human beings are pretty weird. I've actually seen some human beings eat the craziest things.

😂😂😂
I still swipe cookie/cake/chin-chin dough from the bowl when they're being made.
Haven't fallen sick yet...

No repercussions..
Hence I swipe on!!

Same here! I don't know that I've heard of anyone actually getting sick from it despite all of the warnings. 😆

I heard that too growing up, not to eat the dough because of the raw eggs. When I have made cookies as an adult, I have nearly always taken taste of the dough... just a taste. 😄

I've seen cookie dough ice cream along the way. The time or two I've tasted them, they were decent. If we have anywhere that sells it like you are showing it here, I have never heard about it.

Yeah, I've never met or even heard of anyone getting sick from eating raw cookie dough. This cookie dough would be amazing in ice cream. 😁

Oh ! Thank you ! That is so kind.

"They" say (whoever THEY are) that if you just want to eat real cookie dough, you can make a normal recipe, only without any eggs. It doesn't change the flavor and is then safe. Of course I never tried it and am wondering if there might need to be a smidge of some other liquid (water?), but I guess that depends on what all else is in the dough recipe to begin with.
