**Green Peas Pulao **
Ingredients:
1 cup regular rice
1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 3 green chilies, finely chopped
1-inch ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds.

2 tej patta
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse the regular rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 5 minutes,
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds ,fennel seeds black paper , tej patta and let them splutter.
Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in grated ginger and minced garlic. Sauté for a minute until the raw aroma disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes become soft.
- Toss in the green peas and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add garam masala, and coriander powder. Mix well to coat the peas with the spices.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Gently stir to combine the rice with the peas and spices.
Pour 2 cups of water into the pan and season with salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and let it simmer until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Or (Ring the whistle twice in the cooker.)
