My Food Diary - Çortu Taplaması

in #hive-1205863 years ago

Hello to everyone,

I became a member of the Hive platform on recommendation. I know roughly what to do. I am aware that there is a lot of detail to learn and discover. I wish my Hive adventure to last a very long time.

I love to cook, I am passionate about food. Most of my posts will be about food.

The dish I will describe is "Çortu Taplaması". It's not a very well known dish. A local dish. Roughly speaking, sauerkraut is a dish obtained as a result of a mixture of bulgur.

Materials

(1) 1 kg of sauerkraut

(2) 1 kg fine bulgur
image.png
(3) 4 glasses of flour

(4) Salt
(5)1.5 liters of water

for the sauce
(1) 200 grams of butter
(2) tablespoons of paprika
(1) onion

How it is done

Pour the bulgur into a bowl that you can knead well. Then pour salt on it. Pour hot water over this mixture and wait for it to soften. After the bulgur softens, add flour and knead by hand.

Keep kneading by pouring water little by little into your hands to soften the mixture thoroughly.

Break off small pieces from the dough and roll it in both your palms, then press it to form a flat shape. Put these small flat pieces you created in a bowl. Keep doing this until the dough is gone.

Pour the sauerkraut into a saucepan. Add enough water and optionally garlic and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Then pour the small dough you have prepared into the pot and cook for 10-15 minutes.

For the sauce you will pour on it, melt the butter and mix it by chopping red pepper and a little onion.

Serve after pouring the sauce you have created on the food.
