Good afternoon, yeah you could be wondering why the afternoon greetings well it's because it's already 12:00pm over here in Nigeria π€π€π€.
So today we will be talking on how to prepare egg soup.
We all know how important egg is to the human body because of its proteinous content, and there are different ways to prepare it for consumption, you could either boil, fry or drink it raw depending on the situation. So today I will be showing you my little recipe of preparing a delicious egg soup.
*Ingredients:-
1. Egg
2. Palm oil
3. Maggi
4. Salt
5. Crayfish
6. Stockfish
7. Meat(either beef, goat meat, etc depending on what You want)
8. Okra
9. Pepper
10. Onions
11. Fish
First of all you break the egg into a bowl remember the best way to break egg or prevent a bad egg from spoiling the rest of the good eggs, is to break the egg one after the other in a bowl, you need two bowl plate in this case, when you break the egg into the first bowl and it's good you turn it into second empty bowl, you do same to the rest, by breaking it first into the first bowl before depositing the content into the second bowl.
After taking your time to achieve this, you then whisk your egg thoroughly add a pinch of salt, pepper and maggi to it, this is done to prevent the stench smell from the egg from making one throw up while eating the egg soup, then mix it well.
After doing that keep the egg asideππππππ
Prepare the onions, pepper, fish, stock fish,oil meat etc. πππππ
And also slice your okra into the small pieces, pound it and then add a little water and whisk the okra well.
after that you wash your pot, keep it on the fire add the quantity of water you want depending on the egg you have, allow it to boil then you put your condiments, that's fish, stockfish, crayfish, maggi, meat etc then allow this ingredients to steam very well.
When you feel it has steamed well you can add your Palmoil and still allow it to steam for sometimes then add your well whisked okra, remember do not cover the pot when once you add the okra, if you do so the heat that is not allowed to escape will make the okra to not to slippery as usual, so the pot is best allowed to be kept opened.
Now when the okra has steamed enough you then add onions, and your well whisked egg, dont turn it but rather allow it to steam well, then you put your spoon to check least the egg gets burnt.
When you turn the egg into the steaming pot you will see that it will start to coagulate thereby forming some clums of egg, stair it well, you can add a little slice of pumpkin leaf if you wish or you leave it like that, then bring you it down.
Dish the food into the plates and eat it with your semovita, wheat, fufu and garri(processed cassava) or any other thing you would love to enjoy it with.
