I’m excited to be writing here today and I’m about to share my recipe for cooking Efo riro soup (vegetable soup).
I planned on cooking okra soup today but when I woke up this morning I was not feeling it eating okra so I decided to cook Efo Riro.
This soup is a regular soup but I decided to make it special by using Goat meat and prawns.
Ingredients
shoko (vegetable)
Goat meat
Prawns
Smoked fish
kpomo
Red oil
Salt
Seasoning cube
Crayfish
Fresh pepper
The following steps will guide you🙂
Step 1: Wash your meat and put them in a clean pot, including your kpomo and smoked fish, add your salt, maggi and pepper with a little water and allow it to cook. Till you know your meat is ready to be eaten.
Step 2: Set a clean pot on a medium heat and add your red oil, the oil should be depending on the quantity of your vegetable leave. Add you sliced onions and allow it to fry a bit, add your pepper mixture to the oil and stir.
Step 3: The meat, kpomo and smoked fish should me ready, so add it to the mixture including your seasoning cubes, salt and crayfish after that you stir so it can mix with the sauce.
Step 4: I boil my leave without water for 3 minutes then remove the water that came out from it before adding the shoko leave into the sauce and stir to mix, leaving no where untouched.
Step 5: Lower the heat and add your prawns and allow it to cook for 5 minutes, after that your soup is ready..

I’m eating mine with garri (eba) you can eat with any swallow of your choice and also it can be eaten with rice too.
