Hello and happy Thursday!
Pizza night is a pretty big thing in my household. Admittedly, I am pretty lazy when it comes to cooking, being the only person in the house who cooks will do that. 😅 This little recipe, which has been adapted from one my mom in law made up, is perfect for lazy days when everyone wants pizza, especially if you already have a bunch of frozen pizza bases available.
Ingredients
(For 2 Medium Sized Pizzas - 20cm)
- 1/4 Cup Tomato Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Sweet Basil (Fresh is always better but the dried kind works well)
- 1 Teaspoon Origanum
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic salt/flakes
Add everything to a small bowl, mix, and you're done!
This works with basically any topping and can be easily adjusted to suit anyone's personal preference. Go crazy and experiment. I sometimes add a little bit of 1000 Island salad dressing for a club chicken pizza, BBQ sauce for BBQ steak, Sweet Chili sauce....see where I'm going with this? Easy easy!
Pretty much every recipe out there claims to be 'The Best whatever the hell you are planning on cooking/baking' I won't join that cringe train...what I will say, however is that I definitely prefer this pizza sauce over any of the sauces you can buy and over a majority of restaurant pizzas even. But don't take my word for it, go give it a try and let me know 😁
Well, that's it for today. Time to go back to fighting the urge to stay in bed all day.
Till next time!
